Savadori Eolean islands tour is magnificent; well organized, punctual, well equipped, clean, very friendly and professional staff, comfortable strong spacious boats. I am tourleader and use their services regularly and preferably
Tropea and the island with Stromboli must be seen, it was really great. But! Boarding for Stromboli and boarding back to Tropea was a total disaster! I recommend personalized, numbered tickets, then boarding will also proceed in an orderly and decent manner. The staff was very nice, but I don't think I'll book this trip again.
This was one of the worst excursions I have ever been on. The trip started off in a disaster. There was no semblance of order in the boarding of the boat. People shoved their way in to get to the top of the boat so they could have the best seats. Then it was off to Stromboli. The island was practically abandoned. Four hours to do absolutely nothing. There was only one street with any activity, and the rest of the place was a ghost town. Boarding the boat at the island was even more of a disaster as they were no queues, more than one boat was boarding at the same time, and people didn’t care one way or another if they cut in front of the line. The only exciting part of the trip was the last 15 minutes when we saw a bit of volcanic activity. Of anything, the trip should have been more organized from start to end, with less time on the island due to the lack of any culture or interesting elements from the local shops, restaurants, or attractions. Nobody was there! It was a huge waste of money and time. While I can’t go back in time and reclaim that day, I want my money back.
Stromboli is beautiful at night the Sciara del Fuoco is a beautiful experience
New and comfortable motor vessel, very kind staff, very skilled captain with the maneuvers and the explanations. Everything perfect from check-in to the return. Beautiful experience with Stromboli super active and with the dolphins that kept us company during the navigation. An experience to have!
You start by waiting in line to get on the boat in the scorching heat and we got lucky to get seats. You arrive in Stromboli (the island deserves 10 stars), you stay there on the black sand beach which is amazing. On the journey back, people behaving like animals and not letting free seats stay free so we had to walk around the boat like hobos with no where to sit. The boat also stays sooooo far from Sciara del Fuoco.
We had a wonderful boat trip from Tropea to Stromboli. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall experience was fantastic. The views were breathtaking, and the trip was definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Calabria. The only aspect that could be improved was the organization during embarkation for the return journey. Passengers were gathered in a very crowded area at the port, and some people pushed ahead to secure better seats on the boat. A more orderly boarding process would make the experience even better. Overall, a great excursion that I would happily recommend.
Fantastic excursion, everything ran on time, the boat was clean with good facilities including bar and food options. It was busy but that is to be expected in peak season. Seeing the volcanic eruptions was such a great experience. I accidentally left my phone in a shop on the island and a female member of the crew rang around to locate it, got it on the next boat and handed it back to me as we disembarked. She really went above and beyond to assist and I am extremely grateful!
Stromboli remains a fascinating destination, with unique views, the characteristic village, and the typical atmosphere of the Aeolian Islands. Just for the beauty of the place, the trip is definitely worth a visit. However, in our case, the main reason we had chosen this excursion, namely the observation of the Sciara del Fuoco and the volcanic activity at sunset, was not possible due to cloud cover. We understand that this is a natural phenomenon that cannot be controlled by the organization, but we find it questionable that no form of compensation, partial refund, or alternative is provided when the main attraction of the excursion is not accessible. Considering the total duration of the trip, the travel, and the many hours spent between sailing and waiting, the experience can turn into a real chore, especially if the highlight of the evening is missing. In summary: splendid place and decent organization, but the ratio between expectations and final result is strongly affected by the failure to see the Sciara del Fuoco. If seeing the volcano in activity is the main reason for booking, it is good to keep in mind that weather conditions can compromise the experience without any financial compensation being provided. It's not like you can just go back the next day...
