Guys, what are you waiting for? Why haven’t you booked already? Abram was the perfect host, knowledgeable, passionate about real food, very humorous. A Dutchman leading an English man, a Polish woman and their children around Turin. Sounds like the start of a joke, but it’s definitely real. Word of advice: turn up hungry, and you’ll thank me later.
We really enjoyed our evening with Abram! His knowledge, love & passion for food and his hometown made the evening so special. The tour is very well-designed and the flow of the evening’s activities was just perfect (despite the heat!) We tried so many different specialties that would have otherwise been impossible to do on such a short trip. Thanks Abram!
Thank you so much for your beautiful words. Reading reviews like yours reminds me why I created this experience in the first place. My goal has never been simply to show visitors where to eat in Turin, but to help them understand the stories, traditions and people behind every bite of authentic Piedmontese cuisine. I’m especially happy you appreciated the flow of the evening. A great food experience isn’t just about tasting exceptional local specialties: it’s about creating the right rhythm so every stop builds naturally on the previous one, allowing guests to discover the city through its flavours, history and atmosphere, even on a warm summer evening. It was a real pleasure sharing Torino and my passion with you. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your time in Turin, and I hope every taste brings back wonderful memories long after your trip has ended. Cheers, Chef Abram
We had a fantastic time with Abram; he is very friendly, personable, and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about food and drink. The afternoon proceeded not completely as one might expect, but that choice was extremely well thought out and made the whole experience even more memorable. We can all recommend it very enthusiastically!
Thank you so much for this wonderful review! I especially appreciate your observation that the experience didn’t unfold exactly as expected. That is very intentional. Rather than following the typical tourist route, I’ve carefully designed the evening to tell the story of Turin through its food, wines and traditions, allowing each stop to build naturally on the next. For me, a memorable culinary experience is about much more than simply tasting great dishes but it’s instead about discovering the culture, craftsmanship and hidden character of the city going through its legendary foods and artisans. It was a real pleasure sharing my passion for authentic Piedmontese gastronomy with you, and I’m delighted that the journey left such a lasting impression. Thank you for your trust, your curiosity and your enthusiastic recommendation. I hope to welcome you back to Turin one day, where there will always be new flavours, new stories and new hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Cheers, Chef Abram
This was an amazing tour. Cecelia was awesome. The good choices perfection and conversation so much fun.!
Oh, thanks so much, John, for your kind words and for recommending our experience to future travellers! It was such a pleasure spending the morning with you, guys. I’m delighted you enjoyed not only the food and wine, but also the conversations along the way. For me, sharing Turin is about much more than visiting great places: it’s definitely about creating genuine connections and helping guests discover the city’s culture, traditions and authentic flavours through every stop. Your enthusiasm truly means a lot, and knowing you left feeling that this is a “must-do” experience in Turin is the greatest compliment I could receive. I hope our paths cross again one day, and until then, thank you for becoming part of our story. Enjoy the summer and until the next time. All my best, Cecilia
Great stuff. Interesting food, presented in a knowledgeable way and a bit of local history thrown in.
Thank you so much! We have to smile at your title: “Now we have to go back to Turin.” If this experience gave you one more reason to return, then we’ve done our job! :) Food has a wonderful way of telling the story of a city. The good news? We only scratched the surface. Turin still has plenty of delicious secrets waiting for you. Until next time…we’ll be ready with a few new stories… and, of course, something tasty!
We loved our tour with chef Abram! The best experience we had in Torino. He took us to great places , we’ve tried amazing foods. He took us all over town and he showed us places and told us stories! Thank you for memorable experience and we hope to see him again!
Thank you so much for this wonderful review! What I love most is that you didn’t just remember just the food: you remembered the places and the stories. To me, that’s what Turin truly is: a city best understood one bite, one conversation, and one hidden corner at a time. As a chef, I could simply introduce local specialties. But my real goal is to help guests discover why they exist, how they became part of the city’s identity, and why the people of Turin are so proud of them. When those stories stay with you, I know we’ve shared something much bigger than a food tour. It was a genuine pleasure spending the day together, and I’m honored that it became your favorite experience in Turin. The city is always evolving, and there will always be another table, another glass, and another story waiting for your return. Until then, thank you for letting me share my Turin with you. Cheers, Chef Abram
Food tour with a delightful, engaging, passionate chef! Taught us so much about the local Piemonte specialties and we ate so many different varieties of food and drink. Well connected to the city. Easy walking. Fun facts. Best food tour we have ever taken.
Thank you for such a thoughtful review! What makes us especially happy is that you didn’t only mention the food, you mentioned the connection. The connection between the dishes, the people behind them, and the city itself. Turin is often overlooked by travelers rushing between Italy’s more famous destinations, yet it is one of the country’s richest culinary capitals. Our goal has never been simply to feed our guests, but to help them experience Turin through the eyes of someone who has lived, cooked, and built relationships here for many years. Food tastes different when you know where it comes from, who made it, and why locals love it. Those are the details we try to share during every experience. Being called the “best food tour we’ve ever taken” is a compliment we don’t take lightly, especially knowing how many culinary experiences are available around the world today. Thank you for spending part of your journey with me, for your curiosity, and for allowing us to introduce you to the flavors, stories, and hidden corners that make Turin such a special place to eat. Until next time…there will always be another table waiting for you in Torino. Chef Abram
Abram was an excellent guide. It’s clear he loves what he does. He was both passionate and knowledgeable. You could tell he had great relationships with the food establishments he took us to. We ate and drank a broad range of delicious foods and drinks while learning the history of Turin. He was very accommodating to the dietary needs/restrictions that one of us had (vegetarian).
Thank you, Natalie, for such a beautiful review. What I appreciate most is that you noticed something that often happens behind the scenes: the relationships. The food is, of course, the reason we meet, but the real magic comes from the people who make it. Many of the artisans, chefs, bakers, wine specialists, and family-run businesses we visit are people I’ve known professionally or personally for years. Those relationships allow us to open doors, share stories, and experience Turin’s food culture in a way that goes far beyond simply tasting what’s on the plate. I’m also delighted that the vegetarian options were appreciated. One of the great misconceptions about Piedmont is that it is only a destination for meat lovers. In reality, many of the region’s most beloved traditions celebrate vegetables, cheeses, breads and seasonal ingredients. Finding the right balance so everyone can enjoy the experience is an important part of what we do. Thank you for spending your time with us, for your curiosity, and for embracing Turin one bite at a time. Reviews like yours remind us that the best culinary experiences are not just about food: they’re about connection, hospitality, and discovering a city through the people who call it home. I hope Turin will welcome you back one day. Cheers, Abram
We knew it would be wonderful from the reviews we read but it truly exceeded our expectations. Chef Abram was born to do this ! He is passionate, energetic, informative and entertaining as we drank and ate our way through Turin. The variety and quality of everything we consumed was truly fantastic. A big highlight of our trip for sure.
Thank you so, so much, Karen, for your wonderful words! What makes your review especially meaningful is that you arrived with high expectations after reading other guests’ experiences and somehow Turin still managed to surprise you :) That is something I love about this city. Turin doesn’t reveal itself all at once. It is a place of hidden courtyards, historic cafés, family-run food businesses, royal traditions, and recipes that have been quietly perfected for generations. My goal is simply to help guests see what locals often take for granted and what many visitors would otherwise walk right past. Food is our excuse to explore, but the experience is really about discovering the character of Turin through its flavors, stories, and people. Thank you also for your kind words about my energy and passion. After many years as a chef, I still genuinely enjoy introducing guests to the city and the food culture that made me fall in love with Turin in the first place. Every group brings new conversations, new perspectives, and new memories. I’m delighted that the experience became one of the highlights of your trip. Those are the words every host hopes to hear. Thank you for joining me around the table, and whenever you find yourself back in Turin, there will always be another story, another glass, and another delicious discovery waiting for you. All my very best and with many cheers, Chef Abram
Great experience. You get to experience eating the real Italian food hidden in off street alleys that you might not find on your own. Exploring the market was amazing experience. The produce was beautiful atmosphere lively. Included was some wine tasting and it was truly a relaxing tour and well done. I will always try food tours after this .
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. One sentence especially made me smile: “I will always try food tours after this.” Because that tells me the experience was about much more than food. One of the biggest challenges when visiting a new city is knowing where locals actually eat. The restaurants on the main squares are easy to find. The small family-run businesses tucked away in side streets, hidden courtyards, historic markets, and neighborhood corners are often a different story. Those are the places I love sharing. Turin has one of the richest culinary traditions in Italy, but it is also a city that doesn’t show off. Many of its best food experiences are hidden in plain sight, waiting for curious travelers willing to step just a little off the beaten path. I’m delighted that you enjoyed the market as well. For me, markets are the heartbeat of a city. They tell the story of the seasons, the local producers, the daily rituals, and the ingredients that shape an entire region’s cuisine. There is no better place to understand Piedmont than among the colors, aromas, and conversations of a lively market. Thank you for spending part of your time in Turin with me. I’m thrilled that the experience left such a positive impression and hopefully inspired many more culinary adventures during your future travels. After all, some of the best memories of a destination are not the monuments we photograph, but the tables we gather around. Chef Abram
