L'aventure commence. Dites au revoir temporairement à la belle Bath et dirigez-vous vers votre première destination de la journée.
Les menhirs de Stonehenge sont l’un des sites les plus grandioses connus aujourd’hui. Ceux qui visitent prennent une pause de quelques instants dans le monde moderne et sont transportés dans un monde oublié depuis longtemps, un monde où la spiritualité, le paganisme et le culte définissaient les gens.
Mais ce ne sont pas les seules pierres qui devraient vous émerveiller. Dans le doux village d'Avebury, les visiteurs viennent flâner au milieu du plus grand cercle de pierres préhistoriques au monde. Entre manoirs et nature, ce site vaut vraiment le détour.
Après le déjeuner, nous voyageons au cœur du Wiltshire rural jusqu'au village de Lacock, célèbre pour ses rues pittoresques, ses bâtiments historiques et son rôle de lieu de tournage de la télévision et du cinéma. L'abbaye au cœur du village possède son propre parc boisé et une maison de campagne originale aux styles architecturaux fascinants.
Le dernier arrêt de la journée est Castle Combe, souvent considéré comme l'un des plus beaux villages d'Angleterre. Les fans de films comme War Horse et Stardust de Neil Gaiman reconnaîtront peut-être cet endroit, alors préparez votre appareil photo.

Great experience. Our driver-guide was very knowledgeable and truly knew the background for this excursion. It is a full day trip and we’d recommend bringing along some snacks to nibble along the way as there isn’t really time for a real lunch.
Our guide, Ewan, filled us in on a lot of interested facts as we drove through the beautiful Cotswold countryside. At each stop we were given lots of free time to explore on our own having already been given the history and local details that we needed. He navigated the narrow roads with skill and confidence and his personable style kept us entertained and informed.
Nice tour to the “old England”, traveling back in time. Our tour guide “Iggy” was very helpful and informative. Time spent on each spot is quite Ok, but need more time at Castle Coumbe.
We had a wonderful day trip travelling with Rabbies small group travel to Stonehenge and Villages in the Cotswolds . The coach was comfortable and our driver knowledgeable And friendly . The trip was wonderful ,Stonehenge was spectacular and the villages in the Cotswolds picturesque .i though the trip was excellent ,service wonderful and good value for money
Andrew was a fantastic tour guide. Easy going, knowledgable, friendly. I was initially worried about the day being too long, but the way he broke up the trip into four legs really helped.
Interesting and informative guide, I particularly enjoyed the time at Avery, Lacock and Castle Combe. The small bus was comfortable and allowed us to drive on smaller scenic roads.
We had a quick trip to Cardiff, so a night in Bath Spa and this all day tour was all we had time to squeeze in. I feel we saw so much in our one day tour and experienced the flavor of this part of GB. Lunch time was a bit of a disappointment in that the time was short, but otherwise it was lovely.
Great tour out of Bath to see Cotswolds and Stonehenge. Tour guide was funny and entertaining. Highly recommended.
This is my second Rabbie tour and they are the best. I took one through the Highlands from Edinburgh, now Stonehenge and the Cotswolds. The guides are excellent, and well educated about the areas they cover. If you’re looking for a side tour, look for Rabbie.
Iggy, our guide, was wonderful and kept it lively, telling us interesting facts all along the way. Got us to Stonehenge before tour buses arrived so no crowds. Laycock and cotswolds were also fabulous to see. Just the right amount of time at each stop. Highly recommend.
