Angelo was fantastic and a real pleasure! He was very knowledgeable and showed us some pretty amazing things through his telescopes and other equipment. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to La Palma!
La Palma is incredible for stargazing. With our guide, the experience was better since we had a good spot; he has a lot of knowledge about the stars (he even won a photography award) and is kind. He is a very attentive guide. There is a bathroom on-site.
Great experience! Angelo is a well-informed and funny guide
We booked with Angelo for a moonless night in early July. He met us at the Visitor Centre as arranged, we watched the sunset, then he took us to his telescope. We then spent over 2 hours picking out objects across the sky - first, Venus and Jupiter, then as the skies darkened further onto stars and binary systems, gas clouds and eventually distant galaxies. Angelo is extremely knowledgable about astronomy and his English is perfect, helping us to understand more and ore about the visible universe. I cannot recommend him highly enough. As there were only two of us, Angelo was able to give us both lots of "telescope time," enabling our eyes to adjust to the viewfinder and really appreciate the beauty and wonder of the sky. We were lucky with the weather, no wind, so the temperature dropped from around 21 degrees to about 11 degrees by 11.30pm. We were told that the wind can drop the temperature significantly, so wear long trousers, ideally jeans, and wear layers. We wore t-shirts, fleeces and padded down jackets and hats. If you love nature and want to take advantage of some of the darkest skies in the world, contact Angelo and enjoy an incredible evening under the stars. Be aware that you need to make the journey to Los Muchachos by yourself, so allow plenty of time and drive carefully on the way down.
This Tour was really special and one of my highlights at Lapalma Angelo was a perfect guide, nice, professional and funny. :) the informations were so interesting and the sundown and the sky full of stars sooo amazing. I enjoyed this evening so much. So, do it :) and bring some warm clothes with you
An absolutely incredible and highly recommended experience. If you visit La Palma, this tour is an activity you should not miss. Angelo is an exceptional guide. It is noticeable from the first moment that he has enormous knowledge about astronomy, but the best part is his ability to explain concepts that seem complex in a very simple, entertaining, and easy-to-understand way. He conveys his passion in a way that manages to keep you attentive throughout the entire experience. In addition to learning a lot, we enjoyed a spectacular sky and impressive views. Time flew by; in fact, it felt short to us and we would have stayed much longer listening to him and observing the sky. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting La Palma. A 10/10 experience!
A great tour with a very knowledgeable and fun guide Angelo
We had a wonderful private stargazing tour at Roque de los Muchachos. Angelo is an excellent guide. He is friendly, calm and very knowledgeable. He explained everything in a clear and interesting way, and you could really tell how passionate he is about astronomy and the night sky. The location itself is already stunning, but Angelo made the whole experience even more special. The tour felt personal, well organised and truly worth it. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting La Palma and looking for something unique.
We had an amazing stargazing tour on La Palma and can highly recommend it. What really stood out was our guide, Angelo. His knowledge of astronomy is exceptional, and he shared so many fascinating facts in a way that was easy to understand and engaging throughout the evening. I had already done a stargazing tour with another company before, but this one was far more informative. Thanks to Angelo, I learned so much more and gained a much deeper understanding of the night sky. Highly recommended!
Incredible starry sky, no light pollution, and clear images of the planets due to the special location and geology of the island. Among the top 3 places in the world to experience the starry sky so clearly and impressively. Our guide is an expert in his field. Highly recommend. Important: dress warmly. It gets cold up there at night!
