Visitez la ville historique de Santa Cruz, déclarée Bien de Interés Cultural ; profitez des vues uniques de La Cumbrecita dans le Parque Nacional de la Caldera de Taburiente ; et vous partirez à la recherche du volcan Tajogaite, témoin de l'éruption de 2021, en suivant la route nouvellement tracée sur la lave. Point de rencontre – panneau « Nitrate du Chili » Notre voyage commence à Santa Cruz de La Palma, où nous découvrons le panneau historique emblématique « Nitrate de Chile », juste au début de la Calle O'Daly. Ce point emblématique marque l'entrée de l'avenue la plus enchanteresse de l'île. De là, votre guide local vous emmènera au cœur de la capitale, vous contant des anecdotes sur l'enseigne, le passé colonial de la rue et son rôle d'artère vibrante de la vie locale. Cette aventure propose des bâtiments colorés, des cafés animés et une ambiance chaleureuse typique de La Palma.
Santa Cruz de La Palma – Promenade à travers le casque historique Nous traverserons la Calle O'Daly et entrerons dans le casque historique, parfaitement conservé, où le temps semble s'être arrêté. Admirez les maisons coloniales colorées, les élégants balcons de Madère et les places historiques. Nous visiterons des lieux clés tels que la mairie et d'anciennes églises, tandis que votre guide partagera des détails fascinants sur la région maritime et les traditions locales. Cette promenade immersive est une introduction parfaite à la culture des palmiers avant de pénétrer dans leurs paysages naturels.
La Cumbrecita – Parc National de la Caldera de Taburiente Notre prochaine rue est La Cumbrecita, une vue impressionnante à l'intérieur du parc national de la Caldera de Taburiente. Entouré d'imposantes parois volcaniques et de forêts de pins, ce point de vue panoramique offre certaines des vues les plus spectaculaires des îles Canaries. Ici, vous ressentirez toute la grandeur et la beauté du paysage volcanique de La Palma, un lieu idéal pour prendre des photos et se recueillir. Votre guide vous expliquera les origines géologiques et l'écosystème unique du parc avant de poursuivre votre excursion vers le plus jeune volcan de l'île.
Tacande et volcan Tajogaite Nous voyageons jusqu'à présent, le point le plus éloigné que nous recherchons étant l'accès au volcan Tajogaite, né lors de l'éruption de 2021. Nous emprunterons la nouvelle route construite à travers la zone sinistrée, traversant des champs de lave, des vies ensevelies et un paysage transformé à jamais. Le contraste entre les cicatrices vertes et les cicatrices noires est insurmontable. Votre guide partagera avec vous les expériences et les récits personnels de ceux qui ont vécu cet événement, vous transmettant ainsi la force destructrice et la résilience du peuple Palmero.
El Paso – Temps libre pour dormir et revenir Nous terminons notre excursion à El Paso, le cœur vibrant de la communauté des palmiers. Vous aurez ici du temps libre pour dîner, prendre un café ou simplement vous promener et profiter du cadre local. Vous pourrez déguster des plats typiques, visiter de petites boutiques d'artisans ou discuter avec les habitants, et ressentir l'hospitalité qui caractérise l'île. Après cette pause, nous retournerons à Santa Cruz de La Palma, où nous finaliserons nos expériences, nos souvenirs et nos émotions.

After some obstacles with a sick guide and waiting for the fellow passengers of a ferry we left for a very special trip. A super-enthusiastic guide gave us an explanation of the most recent eruption and formation of a new volcano on this particularly beautiful island. What an impact nature had. The lives of several hundred people were drastically upended. Burying their house under feet of jet-black lava. Some houses that were just spared. The guide who admitted that it provides extra employment for him. The weather that didn't play a role when we wanted to go to the national park. A mass of clouds that then turned the program into an extra tour in Santa Cruz...you notice it a very nice day.

It's a versatile though tight scheduled view around certain parts of the island. You'll experience the busy life of Santa Cruz de la Palma as well as the beautiful landscape and the vulcanic history live and in colour. Beware of tight curvy roads and a dynamic driving experience on the bus.

This was a last minute decision as another excursion had been cancelled. So didn't know what to expect but I'm so glad I did! Our local guide was wonderful (wish i could remember her name) We had a short but real authentic tour around Santa Cruz before the bus journey up into the island, where the enormous impact of living on top a volcanic island can be seen (and no amount of questions phased her). I booked a 14 night through First Choice part of the Tui Group. I flew from Manchester Airport where I was looked after extremely well . On arrival I had a transfer to the 4 star hotel Las Olas 10 to 15 minutes from the hotel. Although there was some air traffic being January there was less than at other times of the year not that I had a problem. The hotel was rated 3 star plus which I think was right. I would recommend to pay a little extra and have a sea view room. I was fortunate to have room on the 2nd floor (English 1st floor) and I took my case up the incline to my room. I don’t think the hotel had any porters. I noticed people struggling to get their cases up the steps to the next floor. It is quite steep and might be an issue for someone with walking difficulties. My accommodation was large with a kitchen and l had a beautiful view of the pool area and the sea. The vast majority of clients were 60 plus and I estimated around 80 % German . Pleasant outside area 2 adult pools one slightly heated and a children’s pool. Bar and restaurant were okay. Food I found to be average and not hot. The island is fantastic and Santa Cruz the capital quite beautiful.Beaches are black sand and the first one 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Close to the hotel are a couple of supermarkets and restaurants and bars

The confirmation mentioned 2 meeting points, which was very confusing and annoying. 1st point we were well in time, but no one saw a guide at that time. Then ran to other point (10 min further) no one either. Eventually 2 x have to call to contact and time passed. Had to go to 1st point again. At lunch there was only a choice of fish or pork. No alternative without paying extra. Furthermore fantastic and impressive tour with committed and experienced guide! Very good!

One day was insufficient to see something of the Palm, an excellent guide, Roxi, good weather and taken full advantage, we will return, we are left wanting, but one day does not give for more than what we did that was much and taken advantage of

Lovely tour showing Santa Cruz from high above and then around lava fields and southern part of the island. Tour had two starting points harbour and the city. Different starting time should be informed to the city. Now there was useless half an hour waiting time in the city for no reason.
