The trip started in Munnar, and I think that was the right introduction to Keral. The tea hills were beautiful, but I actually remember the early morning drive more than the sightseeing. Everything was misty and quiet. Thekkady felt completely different, and Alleppey gave us the slow part of the holiday. Kovalam was a nice final stop before leaving. Having the transport arranged made the whole route much easier.
We were a little unsure about booking a multi-stop trip because we didn't want to spend our holiday constantly packing, unpacking and checking the clock. Thankfully, this itinerary had a much more relaxed feel than we expected. Our first few days around Munnar were a highlight. The weather was cooler, the scenery was incredible, and we enjoyed taking our time at the viewpoints instead of trying to see absolutely everything. Thekkady was another favourite, particularly the spice plantations. It was interesting to see how different the countryside looked compared with Munnar. We learned a lot simply by talking with the people we met along the way. Then came the backwaters in Alleppey. That was the point when the whole holiday seemed to slow down. We spent a lot of time just sitting outside, watching boats and village life go past. No sightseeing checklist, no rushing—just enjoying the surroundings. Kovalam gave us a completely different ending with its coastal atmosphere and relaxed evenings. We also have to mention the driver. He was calm, respectful and genuinely helpful throughout the journey. Even on the longer drives, everything felt easy. Troper Tours handled the planning behind the scenes while leaving us free to enjoy the actual holiday. For us, that balance made the biggest difference. We returned home feeling rested rather than exhausted, which is exactly what we wanted from our Kerala trip.
Another aspect I appreciated from this trip was that Kerala never looked quite the same. As soon as I thought I knew what the lay of the land was, we would show up in some new place. That was a big surprise on the first morning in Munnar. I woke up to foggy hills and tea plantations, not a bad start to the holiday. Thekkady had a very different vibe – lush greens, spice gardens and plenty of wildlife-related sights and sounds. Then there was Alleppey, where life slowed to a crawl at last. Eating meals while slowly moving through the backwaters is a simple activity I found to be quite an incredible memory to have during the entire trip — sitting on that houseboat just watching people along the canals. If we were being faced with yet another day of heavy sightseeing, Kovalam offered residents the opportunity to call a halt. After such a long drive, we needed 3 days of beach. The practical side was also a cinch. The vehicle was comfortable, the driver had done this route so many times that even a rock concert would not have distracted him, and whenever we had a question or needed to clarify something Troper Tours were right there. What I enjoyed most was the balance. Certainly, there was enough sightseeing to justify our six days being away, but also enough down time that we actually had the chance to enjoy where we are! Kerala offered me more memories than I anticipated for a 6-day trip. This is the second time I have travelled with Troper Tours and would easily recommend them to anyone wanting to see this part of India without it being a race.
In fact, I loved some of the time spent in between the main stops on this Kerala trip the most. Of course Munnar was beautiful and the tea country was something I’d never seen before. But I also enjoyed the smaller moments on the road — pulling into a local bakery, seeing roadside fruit stalls, watching school kids heading home, and taking a short break whenever the scenery looked interesting. Thekkady was a world apart from Munnar. More forest, more spice, and a much quieter countryside. We hung out at the plantation areas for a while and had a really nice local lunch there. The journey to Alleppey was slow. We drove around and toured for a few days and the houseboat was perfect for us. We spent most of the evening just sitting outside and looking at the backwaters. No plans, no rush. I loved one place particularly Kovalam. We did not make it another sightseeing stop but kept it simple and enjoyed the evening walking around the beach before leaving for Trivandrum. The private car made the whole journey so much easier. We didn’t have to worry about finding transport every morning and there was enough flexibility to make little stops along the way. Troper Tours had everything organized without making the holiday feel over-programmed. For me the biggest success of the trip was that I got to see the famous places of Kerala, but I also got a lot of these small everyday moments that you don't usually get from a normal holiday itinerary.

We had a really good experience with Troper Tours. From the first conversation itself, the team was friendly and easy to deal with. They understood what we wanted and helped us choose the right places instead of simply pushing a fixed itinerary. The arrangements were handled properly, the communication was clear, and whenever we had a question, we got a quick response. Our driver was also very helpful and made the travelling between places comfortable. What we liked most was that the trip never felt too complicated. Hotels, transport, sightseeing and the small details were taken care of, so we could just enjoy our holiday. Troper Tours is definitely a good Kerala travel agency if you want someone who knows the destination and actually listens to what the traveller wants. We would also recommend them as a Trivandrum travel agency for anyone planning a Kerala holiday from the capital. Overall, very happy with the service and would gladly travel with Troper Tours again.

Although we had previously traveled to Tamil Nadu, our experience in Chettinad was entirely different. There were no popular tourist streets or large crowds. Rather, we spent our days exploring historic homes, serene villages, temples, and locations we most likely would not have discovered on our own. The biggest surprise was the mansions in Kanadukathan. Some were nearly forgotten from the outside, but once we inside, we were astounded by the enormous rooms, ancient woodwork, courtyards, and tiles. How families actually lived in homes that size was difficult to comprehend. good tour operator they are We had a great time at the Athangudi tile workshop as well. It was far more fascinating to watch the tiles being manufactured by hand than we had anticipated, and we could understand why they differed so greatly from typical factory-made tiles.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful experience! We’re delighted that your time in Chettinad gave you a different perspective on Tamil Nadu and that you enjoyed discovering places beyond the usual tourist routes. The heritage mansions in Kanadukathan and the traditional Athangudi tile-making process are truly special, and we’re glad those experiences stood out during your journey. It’s always rewarding to hear that travellers enjoyed the history, craftsmanship and quieter side of the region. Thank you as well for appreciating our team and recommending Troper Tours. We’re happy to have been part of your journey and hope to help you discover more of South India and Kerala on your next trip.
We were two couples from Russia, and I have to say that we did not know what to accept when it accurately come to Kerala. Even before the end of the trip, we were joking about which bits we would be coming back for. Munnar was a big favourite. We found reasons to stop so many times because we could not ignore the views. Next was Thekkady where the panorama transformed yet another time. Alleppey, on the other hand, was a whole different cup of tea—it had still waters, palm trees, village life—all to go along with the luxury of doing absolutely nothing. Little things that were never really on our itinerary, but what made the trip special. A tea stop at an impromptu place, new variety of food for lunch, discussing Kerala with our driver, photo stops whenever anyone yelled ‘wait!’ That turned out to be some of the funniest ones. So we were two couples travelling, naturally seeks comfort but what an element of freedom! It was a situation that worked out great for us, and no one felt like we were always on the go to get to the next venue. Scenery brings you to Kerala, but it is the people, food and funny moments that will leave you with memories — despite some surprise stops along the way. That is what made this trip memorable for us.
Thank you so much for sharing such a fun and personal review! We’re delighted to hear that Kerala surprised you in the best possible way and that Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey each gave you such different experiences. We especially loved hearing about the spontaneous tea stops, trying new food, chatting with the driver and those unexpected “wait!” moments for photographs. Those are often the memories that stay with travellers long after the main sightseeing is finished. We’re also happy that the trip gave you both comfort and freedom as two couples travelling together. We always try to keep our Kerala tour package for foreigners flexible enough to enjoy these little moments without making guests feel rushed from one destination to another. Thank you for choosing Troper Tours and for trusting us with your Kerala holiday. We’re so glad the scenery, people, food and unexpected moments made the journey memorable. We hope to welcome you all back to Kerala someday!
Kerala Unlike my holidays which I still tend to plan myself — so part of my decision for Kerala was the fact booking a trip will be somebody else's job. It turns out that was one of the best things I did this trip. The route flowed beautifully. Munnar provided the mountains and tea country but Thekkady was a much more earthy & wild affair. Alleppey was where I could finally sort of switch off from schedules for a bit and go explore the backwaters. I had planned/expected to chill for a day or two at the coast by the time Kovalam rolled around. The distance between the big sights is an experience in of itself. There would hardly be any day that would collapse in on itself if only a leg was stopped for breakfast in local dive or stop to take a picture somewhere and linger just a little longer. The journey also was a large part of making it easy for the driver He knew the roads, was always on time and answered any question I had about places we passed en route. It meant that Troper Tours were able to make all the arrangements easily, and I was never worrying during my holiday about what transport or accommodation was next. It was reminder that sometimes, the best way to explore somewhere new is to have the logistics covered and leave yourself free to enjoy the adventure.
Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful experience! We’re really happy to know that having the planning and logistics taken care of allowed you to enjoy Kerala without constantly thinking about transport, accommodation, or what was coming next. We especially love that you enjoyed the journey between the destinations as much as the destinations themselves. Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, and Kovalam each have such a different atmosphere, and having the freedom to stop for breakfast, photographs, or a quick local experience can make the journey much more memorable. Our team at Troper Tours always aims to keep a Kerala tour package well organized while leaving enough flexibility for travelers to enjoy the unexpected moments along the way. We’re also glad our driver made the long journeys comfortable and was helpful with your questions. Thank you again for choosing Troper Tours and for recommending us. We’re grateful for your trust in us as one of the Kerala tour operators for your holiday, and we hope to welcome you back to Kerala in the future!
What I loved about this itinerary was that it varied quite a bit over those six days. We never felt like we were on a holiday where all we were doing was visiting different versions of the same place. Munnar was a beautiful introduction to Kerala! The first couple of days were completely different than the coast- cooler climate, tea-covered slopes and mountain roads. Then Thekkady, a much more rugged part of Kerala with its forests, plantations and almost sense of wildness. The houseboat stay at Alleppey was perhaps the most memorable experience of my Kerala trip. Having been sightseeing for a few days, I needed some water with nowhere to go. Before heading to Trivandrum, Kovalam then finally wrapped up for the day in a much more laid back way. It was infinitely easier to have the same private transport set up for the journey. You just sat there with none of the need to haggle taxis or plan links between places, and a lot of freedom to have stopovers where something caught your interest. Another plus was the organisation by Troper Tours. Communication was very simple, it was a well laid out plan from the get go. A very well laid out itinerary for anyone wishing to see a few disparate aspects of Kerala in one trip, without taking on all the planning themselves.
We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about this. We're thrilled that you relished the diversity of the six-day trip and that every stop added something unique to the experience. That Munnar, Thekkady, the Alleppey houseboat, and Kovalam each had their own highlights for you is fantastic to hear. We wholeheartedly concur that traveling between these locations contributes to the uniqueness of a Kerala vacation. We're particularly happy that the private transportation made things simpler and allowed you to stop and enjoy locations along the way without having to worry about connections or taxis. We constantly strive to maintain that harmony between a carefully thought-out itinerary and some leeway. Once again, thank you for selecting Troper Tours and for recognizing the effort our staff puts into planning each Kerala tour package. In the future, we hope to enjoy organizing another trip to Kerala for you!
We chose this six-day Kerala itinerary because we wanted to see several parts of the state without spending our holiday figuring out buses, taxis, and hotel changes ourselves. It worked out really well. The biggest surprise was how different each day felt. Munnar was cool and green, with tea gardens everywhere we looked. Thekkady felt more adventurous, especially around the forest and spice-growing areas. Then Alleppey was almost the opposite—slow, peaceful, and perfect for switching off for a while. We also enjoyed having Kovalam at the end rather than finishing the trip in another busy sightseeing destination. Sitting by the sea after several days of travelling was exactly what we needed. The driver deserves a special mention. He was punctual but also relaxed, answered all our random questions, and knew when we wanted to stop for photographs or refreshments. We never felt like we were being pushed to stick rigidly to the clock. Troper Tours handled the arrangements professionally and kept communication straightforward throughout the trip. For us, the best part was having the convenience of an organised private tour while still feeling like we had room to enjoy Kerala in our own way. We would definitely recommend Troper Tours to anyone considering this route. Six days went by far too quickly!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re really glad our Kerala tour package gave you the chance to explore different sides of Kerala without having to worry about arranging buses, taxis, hotels, and connections along the way. It’s lovely to hear that Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, and Kovalam each brought something different to your trip. We’re especially happy that the pace worked well for you and that you had enough freedom for photographs, refreshments, and spontaneous stops. We’ll certainly pass your kind words on to the driver as well. As experienced Kerala tour operators, we understand that having a reliable driver who knows when to keep moving and when to give you extra time can make a big difference to the overall experience. Thank you for choosing Troper Tours and for recommending us. We’re delighted that the trip felt organized without feeling restrictive, and we hope to welcome you back for another Kerala holiday in the future!
