We visited on a very hot day but our guide kept us in the shade as much as possible. The tour was educational - we wouldn't have known what we were looking at without the guide's explanations. But it was never boring - our guide was very entertaining and made things fun and interesting. Highly recommend.

This was an excellent tour. The guide was very engaging, funny and full of information about Pompeii. Meeting at the meeting point was very easy - although, the day before, I received a text saying the tour had been re-arranged from 9am to 10am meaning I had one hour less time in the archaeological park which was annoying as I had chosen this tour specifically because it started early. But these things happen, and I suppose it could have been much, much worse (if it had been re-arranged for the afternoon for example).. I must have considered dozens of different tours before choosing this one and all-in-all I'm happy I went with this. Well worth the money.

Lello (an Archaeologist), was informative, funny, personable and even assisted his “FAMILY” if needed. I highly recommend this tour. Lello pointed out things that I would never have known if walking on our own.

My husband and I visited Pompeii with tour guide Lello (an archaeologist). We have been on a lot of tours all over the world and can honestly say Lello was the best guide we have ever had. He is very knowledgeable, attentive and (to top it off) hilarious! Pompeii itself was amazing. I would definitely recommend going with a guide to ensure you get the most out of the experience. Before the tour all communications with Giulia from the company were efficient and friendly. Lello also drove us from Naples to Positano and the van was new, spacious and comfortable. When we were hungry Lello directed us to a lovely café which offered freshly made sandwiches, coffee and other drinks.

Lello was friendly and engaging and brought the ruins to life. His obvious knowledge and passion for the site made the tour super enjoyable.

Our guide, Lello, (an archaeologist) was delightful! Warm and personable and , of course knowledgeable. He made the ancient stories come alive. We highly recommend the Loretta Tour Company.

Excellent and interesting tour leader. Roseanna, was a funny, informative guide. The Pompeii ruins are fascinating.

I have always wanted to see Pompeii and was excited to get the chance this holiday. I spent a lot of time researching and finally chose Loretta’s tours to be my guide company. I won’t go into Pompeii itself as it is amazing and doesn’t need me to praise it other than to say if you are thinking of seeing it, do it as you will not be disappointed. Loretta’s tours though were great, easy to book, easy to follow information, I showed up at the meeting point to find a happy, smiling lady with a sheet held up with my name on it so contact was made, the group together and this amazing lady (Stefania) takes us on a journey through Pompeii that kept myself, my wife and the entire group enthralled for the entire time. Her knowledge was only outdone by her passion for the place and her delivery of the facts/history was enthralling and infectious. At the conclusion of the tour I walked away feeling happy that I had made the decision to go with Loretta’s Tours. But most of all I felt lucky to have had Stefania as our guide because she brought the place alive, told us things we would never have known had we not taken a guided tour and presented it in such a way that made us feel that we took in so much more than we thought we would. Go to Pompeii if you can, it is fantastic. Book with Loretta’s as they made everything easy and keep your fingers crossed that you get Stefania as she is the best.

Nothing beats having a passionate, knowledgeable tour guide who also can be entertaining and able humanize the ancient history we saw. Highly recommend you ask for this wonderful, intelligent, and passionate person to be your guide when you come to Pompei. Hats off to Rosanna!!!

We didn’t really know what to expect with this tour as it was all a little late and last minute when we booked. It turned out really well worth while. You learn so much more when an expert can tell you about all the detail and history that you would normally not be any the wiser on. Our guide was a real character and spoke very good english. He was also very knowledgeable with a background in archeology. We highly recommend this tour and this company.
