The tour Neil sent us on was fabulous! We especially love the tour of the pineapple plantation and our generous portions of regional specialties at Arco da Velha. It was almost too much food! Highly recommended! Make sure you have good walking shoes on because the walk to the Pineapple Plantation will be about 20 minutes.
The tour was canceled by Viator at last minute when we were at the tour starting point with no explanation. Weirdly, Viator sent a message saying the cancellation was at my request. At least Viator refunded the cost.
Apologies, we cancelled the tour at the last minute, do to unforseen circumstances, which we provided a full refund for.
The guide never showed up…..what a bust! At least Viator was good about refunding and we appreciated that!

I would not recommend this tour - it’s a self guided tour (which isn’t that clear when you book) that provides little to no value beyond a text message with a few stops to get food (most in the same area) and the food itself (which is relatively limited and feels random because there is no one to tell you what it is). You’d be better suited to walk around with a bit of cash yourself and try different things.

Interesting and fun experience, a different way to know the products of the area. Time is set by you and you go at the pace you want, but if you need something the guide is available at all times.
