Trip of a Lifetime

Absolutely the most incredible tour with multiple awesome experiences. Coba ruins are awesome, you can climb one of the temples, but there's practically a whole city there to explore, and it's quiet, shady, very nice. We got to bike in there, too which was a surprise but definitely beat walking! We got a welcoming blessing ceremony by a Mayan elder and then to see wild spider and howler monkeys up close which was incredible and then zip lined and canoed across a beautiful lake. Then we swam in an incredible cenote which was beautiful and mysterious and only the few of us on the tour. Finally we had lunch with Mayan household that also runs a wildlife sanctuary where they show you the animals (and can even pet a few, my daughter was totally smitten with the faun, of course. And our guide, Santiago was totally chill and very knowledgeable and able to help people in 5 different languages, perhaps overqualified for the job,but we were really grateful for him. They managed to pick us up from the hotel in PDC and drop us at the ferry for our next leg. All in all worth every cent, an unforgettable trip!

A splendid experience among the ruins of Coba, a Maya village, and a cenote.

A beautiful experience with the guide Gustavo from Blue Caribe, who accompanied us throughout the tour, on the forest trails to the Maya ruins of Coba, passionately sharing the history of the site, then at the hacienda of the Maya family where we tasted their delicious tortillas and the local honey from the Melipona bee, and in the deep and spectacular cenote right in front. Finally, a tasty lunch at the restaurant facing the Coba lagoon.

An Unforgettable Day of Adventure Wildlife and Culture

This was our second trip with Mexico Kan Tours during our holiday in Tulum and they really are excellent. We love smaller groups of around six people as you get a more personal experience and usually reach the sights before the big coach tours. Our guide Paloma and driver Arelio were brilliant from start to finish. Communication about pickup was spot on and there was iced water in the van to refill bottles. Take a reusable bottle, sun cream, hat and bug spray. Cobá was a highlight. It is a large site in the jungle and you can choose to cycle or take a so called limousine. I cycled while my wife took the easier option. If you choose the limousine, remember to tip your driver. Cobá felt more like a community than Chichén Itzá and you can even climb one of the structures using the new wooden steps. It is a 42 metre climb so take your time. We then headed deeper into the jungle to meet a local wildlife guide. We were lucky to see a family of spider monkeys feeding as we arrived which was really special. Before walking into the jungle we were blessed by the village head which added to the experience. After a short walk we reached the lagoon for a gentle zip line and a canoe paddle. The views were stunning. A quick stop for local gifts followed before we visited a community owned cenote. We had it completely to ourselves. The wildlife, birds and butterflies were beautiful and there were turtles in the water that dive as soon as you get in. To finish the day we visited a local home for fresh home made food and lemonade which was a lovely touch. A brilliant day and the highlight of our holiday. Highly recommended. Thank you Paloma and Arelio.

Great experience in Maya culture

Very beautiful immersive experience with Maya culture and history! The day started with a bike ride through the Maya ruins, then we went to Punta Laguna where we saw a Maya ritual, went zip-lining, and canoeing. It was great! We ended the day by refreshing ourselves in a beautiful cenote with turtles, fish, and bats; it was wonderful. And a typical meal at a small Mayan farm Excellent day with Paloma, a wonderful guide who provided us with plenty of information🌞
