Préparez-vous à vivre une expérience inoubliable avec notre road trip depuis le Libéria, où vous profiterez de la chaîne de montagnes à couper le souffle, de la nature et des paysages uniques de Guanacaste ! Après un trajet de 25 km à travers des paysages époustouflants, vous arriverez au secteur Santa Maria, qui fait partie du parc national Rincón de la Vieja. Nous commencerons notre visite en nous plongeant dans la culture et l'histoire de la Casona de l'ancienne Hacienda Santa Maria. Ici, nous commencerons une randonnée axée sur l'observation de la faune et la découverte de la nature et de la forêt qui nous entourent. À la fin du parcours, vous trouverez les piscines naturelles bleues magiques remplies d'eau minérale thermale, où vous pourrez vous immerger, vous déconnecter et vous détendre. Sur le chemin du retour, nous visiterons la cascade de Morpho afin que vous puissiez reposer vos pieds et plonger dans l'eau douce ou simplement profiter du cadre paisible et affectueux de la forêt et de la rivière. Il s'agit d'une randonnée de moyenne envergure, d'environ 6 km aller-retour, avec 80 % de terrain plat sur tout le parcours, ce qui la rend accessible et agréable pour tous.

Road trip depuis le Libéria en observant la chaîne de montagnes, la nature et les paysages de Guanacaste. Quelle façon de commencer l'expérience! Après avoir profité du paysage pendant 25 km, vous atteindrez le secteur de Santa Maria, qui appartient au parc national Rincon de la Vieja. Nous commencerons la visite avec beaucoup de culture et de connaissances à la Casona de l'ancienne Hacienda Santa Maria et commencerons notre randonnée en observant la faune et en apprenant de la nature et de la forêt. À la fin du sentier, nous trouverons les piscines naturelles bleues magiques avec de l'eau minérale thermale où vous pourrez entrer et déconnecter l'esprit et le corps, vous détendre et respirer les essences du volcan. Sur le chemin du retour, nous visiterons la chute d'eau de Morpho et la cascade de la forêt enchantée, où vous pourrez vous reposer et plonger dans l'eau douce, ou simplement profiter de la paisible forêt et de la rivière qui vous entourent. Il s'agit d'une randonnée de taille moyenne, environ 6 km aller-retour, 80% de terrain plat tout au long du sentier, ce qui le rend plus accessible et agréable.

Alejandro was great! We met at the Volcano for the hike and then went to the Oropendolo waterfall. Much needed cooling off after the hike. It is an easy walk right across from where you come out from the hike. We had lunch at a great buffet and then did the tubing down the river. We had a blast! Alejandro knows his way around the Volcano and pointed out all the different wildlife! Would do this again!

I recently visited Rincon de la Vieja to go see some of the waterfalls and hot springs at the park. I was greeted by Michael who is one of the park rangers on site. Michael and the rest of the team on site do a phenomenal job at maintaining the park well organized and easy to navigate! Every one of the rangers make you feel at home and are very passionate at what they do.. For those that are visiting Costa Rica for the first time, I highly recommend coming here so you can truly appreciate it's natural beauties and lush tropical environments as well as all the wild life that lives in the reserve. I will definitely be coming back again!

In June 2024, my family and I had an unforgettable tour of Rincón de la Vieja National Park and the hot springs, made even better by our incredible guide, John Alejandro. John’s passion and knowledge brought the park to life, to its stunning rainforest trails. He made sure we spotted wildlife, shared fascinating insights, and kept the whole experience fun and engaging. After an adventurous hike, the hot springs were the perfect way to relax and soak in Costa Rica’s natural beauty. This tour was the highlight of our trip, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing adventure at one of the best place in Costa Rica to walk, the amazing Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, active and many different natural volcano resources to show and enjoy. This is magic place to visit and explore, pura vida!
We had an excellent experience during our tour with Alberto. He was a great guide during our hike, pointing out many animals and giving so much interesting information during the hike. Have done this tour with Costa Rica Excursions Travel a couple of times and it only gets better each time. The hike is moderate-easy and with the rainy season the hike got even more interesting. This place is must see!
