Randonnée sur le volcan Iztaccíhuatl depuis Puebla
Description
Le parc national d'Izta Popo abrite deux volcans au même endroit. Nous avons aménagé des sentiers de randonnée pour que vous puissiez profiter des vues imprenables sur le volcan endormi Iztaccíhuatl et le volcan actif Popocatépetl. Notre guide local vous expliquera la faune et la flore de la région. Vivez et respirez l'air pur à environ 3 600 mètres et 4 300 mètres d'altitude. C'est un endroit idéal pour partager une expérience merveilleuse, seul, entre amis ou en famille. L'excursion comprend le transport aller-retour. Choisissez parmi : Niveau 1. La randonnée commence à environ 3 600 mètres d'altitude et se termine à 3 980 mètres d'altitude. Le sentier est balisé et sablonneux. La distance totale est d'environ 8 à 9 km, dont 4 km de montée modérée et 4 km de descente. Niveau 2. La distance totale est de 14 km, dont 4 km en montée et le reste en descente avec quelques mètres de montée modérée. Le sentier est principalement sablonneux, offrant des vues sur l'Iztaccihuatl à l'aller et sur le Popocatépetl au retour. Niveau 3. Il s'agit d'une randonnée de 7 km à une altitude comprise entre 4 000 et 4 500 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, où l'on trouve du sable et des pierres.

Itinéraire
Notre aventure commence au Paso de Cortés. A ce stade nous quittons le véhicule, notre guide diplômé nous donne les consignes et nous nous préparons pour la balade. Nous avons 3 options d'itinéraire avec différents niveaux de difficulté. Eh bien, choisissez-en une, l'une des 3 options. Tous ont été soigneusement conçus pour que vous ne manquiez pas les magnifiques vues qu'offrent les volcans.
Lors de cette visite, vous pouvez choisir entre 3 niveaux différents : Niveau 1 = Dans ce circuit, nous parcourons des sentiers balisés vers le volcan Izta. C'est une promenade harmonieuse où nous arriverons à un point de vue où vous pourrez admirer la beauté d'Iztaccíhuatl et de Popocatépetl. Distance de 9 à 11 km, entre 3 670 et 4 000 m d'altitude. 330m de dénivelé. Niveau 2 = Sur cet itinéraire, nous traversons une zone de sources et de forêts, en admirant les belles vues qui caractérisent ce parc national. Il a des sentiers pas si balisés, hors route dans les prairies et en montée. Distance de 14,5 à 15 km entre 3 670 et 4 100 m d'altitude avec un dénivelé de 580 m. Niveau 3 = Nous marcherons à une altitude plus élevée, à cette hauteur les vues sont panoramiques. Les chemins sont faits de pierre, de sable et de talus. Cet itinéraire est connu sous le nom de "Ruta de Portillos" dans lequel nous arriverons à la 2ème ou 3ème porte en fonction des conditions météorologiques. Distance de 7 km entre 3 900 et 4 300 m d'altitude avec un dénivelé de 420 m

My and my girlfriend got picked up at the chosen pick-up-point. Our guide Luis was really kind and enthousiastic about the environment during the drive. At the beginning of the hike he gave us some coffee/tea and had some time to get used to the altitude. The hike was great and we even saw a eruption from the volcano. Luis was kind and we had a lot of fun with him. We felt really safe.

We did the level 2 hike to Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl with Luis, and the experience was incredible. Luis was always super friendly, explained many things during the tour, and answered all our questions with great patience. The hike was impressive, the views are beautiful, and we went at our own pace the whole time, which made us enjoy the experience a lot. It is clear that Luis knows the area very well and loves what he does. We definitely recommend it and would do another hike with him.

We chose the level 2 and were challenged but Rafa knew when to stop and rest. We are 64 and 63 years old. If you are in good shape go for it. We made it and we’re only pushing it the last 4 km. We were lucky with the weather which Rafa said is good from Nov-Apr. Very scenic and glad we took the route that saw the waterfalls. Rafa did a great job getting us to see everything in a safe manner. He is a very experienced guide and guides all over Mexico and has experience around the world.

The guide was very nice and polite, and the excursion was conducted in a calm and pleasant manner. There wasn’t much commentary during the tour, which made sense given the nature of the area — the views were beautiful, but there was a very limited variety of plants and virtually no wildlife to see apart from birds. The route itself was very easy. Anyone who has done a few hikes before would find it quite comfortable and not physically demanding. Our main concern was the vehicle. The car was extremely small even for the group size of only 4 people,only two backpacks could have been placed in the trunk and two of us had to sit on temporary children’s seats. There was very little legroom, and due to the road conditions and numerous bumps, it was quite uncomfortable, with heads frequently hitting the rear window. There were also no handles to somehow hold yourself as those seats are not meant for drive like this. We switched seats on the way back, and everyone was able to experience that the conditions were quite uncomfortable for a two-hour drive each way. Overall, the guide was kind and professional, but improving the transportation would greatly enhance the experience.

Loved it! Friendly and knowledgeable guide and stunning views. Varm attire was essential as we started round sunrise. The early morning views and scenery was well worth the chill morning temperatures and 5 am departure from Puebla.
