Ensuite, plongez dans le charme coloré d'Atlixco, où vous pourrez acheter des plantes et des fleurs fraîches dans ses pépinières et découvrir les coins les plus emblématiques de sa place, l'église de Santa María de la Natividad, les célèbres Escaleras Anchas, un incontournable pour une photo Instagram, l'ancien couvent franciscain, et le belvédère panoramique en verre.

Itinéraire
Notre circuit débutera par une visite de Cholula, reconnue comme une ville magique pour sa richesse historique et culturelle. Nous visiterons la Grande Pyramide de Cholula, la plus grande base pyramidale du monde en volume. Au sommet se trouve le sanctuaire Notre-Dame des Remèdes, un temple du XVIe siècle offrant une vue magnifique sur la vallée. Nous nous dirigerons ensuite vers l'ancien couvent de San Gabriel, l'un des plus anciens complexes franciscains du Mexique, construit au XVIe siècle. Elle se distingue par son architecture sobre et sa grande chapelle ouverte, élément clé de l'évangélisation de la région. Nous poursuivrons notre visite sur la Plaza de la Concordia, au cœur de la ville, entourée d'arcades traditionnelles. Enfin, nous visiterons le temple de Santa María Tonantzintla, célèbre pour son intérieur baroque indigène des XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles, un exemple du syncrétisme entre la tradition indigène et la foi catholique.
Nous nous dirigerons vers la ville magique d'Atlixco, une cité aux racines préhispaniques qui a joué un rôle majeur durant l'ère coloniale grâce à sa production agricole et textile. Grâce à son climat privilégié et à ses pépinières colorées, elle est aujourd'hui connue sous le nom d'« Atlixco des fleurs ». Notre premier arrêt sera le point de vue du Cerro de San Miguel, un site emblématique couronné par la chapelle dédiée à l'archange Saint Michel, construite au XVIe siècle. Cette colline était un ancien centre cérémoniel et constitue aujourd'hui l'un des points les plus emblématiques de la ville. De son sommet, vous pourrez profiter de vues spectaculaires et prendre des photos incroyables avec les volcans Popocatépetl et Iztaccíhuatl en toile de fond majestueuse.
Lors de notre troisième et dernier arrêt, nous visiterons l'Ex Convento del Carmen, fondé en 1608 par des Franciscains au pied du Cerro de San Miguel. Dédié à la Vierge du Carmen, c'est un monument historique et religieux de la ville. En descendant, nous verrons les traditionnels Larges Escaliers, dont les marches ont été décorées de peintures murales de l'artiste local Juan Manuel Martínez Caltenco, représentant des motifs floraux qui symbolisent l'identité d'Atlixco. Ensuite, nous nous arrêterons à la boutique de glaces Ximitl pour déguster des glaces artisanales de saison. Nous continuerons le long de la Calle de las Flores en direction du zócalo pour admirer le kiosque Atlixco, décoré de mosaïques, et la paroisse Santa María de la Natividad, du XVIIe siècle, pour terminer par les fresques du Palais municipal.

We were expecting a more walking tour of the cities but it was still ok going solo on our own. We booked a Spanish tour by error so we had to wing it. It’s was a few churches visit and shopping area like a Mercado mainly for the tour in both cities visited.

We had a wonderful experience on this tour. We appreciated the flexibility that Pablo showed us in taking us to visit some of the places that we requested, both in Cholula and Atlixco. The van was clean and the driver went out of his way to drop us off at home. Both destinations are a must for anyone new to the Puebla area. So much history in Cholula and Atlixco is one of the most charming Pueblo Magico cities that we've seen in Mexico This was my second trip with Bufon Tours and they are a first class company...well organized, reasonably priced, and flexible

The guide very professional, friendly and nice. The tour was scheduled for 9:00, which changed to 10:00, so we had no problem, thinking that the estimated tour time would be covered. I missed the visit to the nursery and the lunch time in Atlixco, from the visit to the nursery, told us that there was no longer time, our mistake was not to require him to take us. of the lunch time I do not even mention it, I only recommend a restaurant, in case we were interested in returning later. The tour ended at approximately 2:30.
