Randonnée au volcan Pacaya au départ de Guatemala

Le volcan Pacaya est l'un des nombreux (actifs) situés autour d'Antigua, l'ancienne capitale du Guatemala, et peut-être le plus accessible. La dernière grande éruption du volcan Pacaya a eu lieu en 2010. Jusqu'en 2016, il était en fait possible de voir la lave de près pendant la randonnée - différentes agences de voyages ont emprunté différents itinéraires. Pendant les randonnées au coucher du soleil, dès qu'il faisait un peu sombre, on pouvait voir le volcan projeter de la fumée et de la lave.

Itinéraire
Les voyageurs seront pris en charge à leur hôtel et transportés en minibus vers le parc national du volcan Pacaya. Les sentiers sont en bon état mais ils sont raides jusqu'à ce que vous atteigniez Pacaya sur un parcours de 3,7 kilomètres. Au fur et à mesure qu'il monte, il traversera des forêts, des terres agricoles et de la lave. Vous marcherez sur des sentiers de terre et de cendre, alors assurez-vous de porter des chaussures solides. Au sommet, vous profiterez d'une vue magnifique sur les fumerolles, qui peuvent jeter des cendres, des roches ou de la lave. Préparez votre appareil photo pour capturer les éruptions, pour maintenir la sécurité, vous serez à une distance de sécurité et hors de danger. Au cours de cette visite, vous aurez également d'excellentes vues sur les environs.

This was a great hike....not too difficult and too time consuming but still very rewarding. David was a great guide....the vistas and the satisfaction are totally worth it

Get ready to hike. I do not think this is a beginner’s friendly hike, more moderate- advanced. They have gourdes that you can ride up the mountain but they are pretty overpriced so be sure to carry extra cash if you cannot complete the hike. (Mind you I actually work out and it was difficult). Great experience overall, but beware of physicality required.
We greatly appreciate your opinion, although you mention things that ARE NOT UNDER OUR CONTROL, such as the price charged for the horses (as they are not ours). As for the level of difficulty you experienced when hiking up the volcano, even children climb this volcano. We always appreciate your comments, Hector
Be prepared to hike up or take a horse. I decided to hike. Amazing experience and seeing the volcano up and being able to sit on volcano rock and admire the scene down below was a amazing. The small group I was with and or your guide was absolutely amazing. The volcano hike turned strangers friends.

This was a perfect hike for me the altitude got to me and was able to get on a horse and get to the top. Did the hike down it was amazing. It was a great way to celebrate turning 50

I had a great time at Volcan Pacaya. The guide Mynor Peralta was very knowledgeable and our hike up to the top was nice and fun. He even practiced speaking Spanish with me. There were horses available to rent, but I didn’t feel the need for it and just walked up. The view at the top is amazing. Oh, and he volunteered to take some Instagram worthy pictures, total win.

What a wonderful experience it was! Wow! It was so magical to do a horseback riding all the way to the top of the volcano and enjoying breathtaking views of the mountains and volcanoes!! This trip is a must!!
