Guide was very knowledgeable and really took his time explaining the history behind the pyramids. Meeting location was a little tricky but we found each other.
Great tour with fascinating history of not only this site but the history of Mexico.
Armando was a great guide. We learned things about the Queretaro region that I never knew. Its was like being in an anthropology class for 3 hours. So interesting! I recommend this tour.
The experience was really worth it. Even if it is not on the typical tourist parcour, I highly recommend it, showing a rare Toltec ruins. Armando is the friendly guide of this tour and knows a lot about the history of this place and it's context. In this tour, I've learned more in than I've learned in my visits of Teotihuacan and Chichen Itza. With time, I'm pretty sure it will become an essential element of visit of Quetetaro. I recommand !
This ancient site is a new must see, the pyramid was only cleared of vegitation and the museum built since 2000. Our guide Armando is pasionate about sharing the story and legend of this history making site. Armando also does a tour of the historic center of Santiago de Queretaro where he shares the rich history of its people, its enemies and allies, and its development over the years.
10/10 experience. Armando was a great storyteller and made the visit a walking history lesson! The pyramid alone is worth the visit, but the site has no English signage and googling alone won't give you the information Armando did. He was easy to find, and the small group made it personal so everyone could hear what he was saying.
Armando was a phenomenal tour guide! My wife and I were visiting Queretaro for a weekend and wanted to see some of the local culture. His tour informed us so much about the history of Mesoamerica and the civilizations responsible for the pyramid. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who visits.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Without him we would have simply walked up to the pyramid, taken a photo, then left. He immersed us into the life and culture of the period.
My wife and I had a great time learning about the history/theories behind the cultures that operated near (and far) from this Pyramid. It was fun and interesting to learn about this interconnected past thanks to Armando!
Fantastic tour. Armando was exceptionally informative and friendly. Had we not booked a tour with him, seeing El Cerrito would have been a much less fulfilling experience for us English speakers, as everything is in Spanish. Highly recommended
