Pumas Rescue Center & Llanos Del Cortes Waterfall Swimming

Description

I enjoyed Wilmer as our tour driver, but the tour we experienced was different from what we had originally purchased. He didn’t inform us that we wouldn’t be able to visit the waterfall until we were already in the van. The options he provided didn’t align with our group’s preferences. Although we were promised a 25% discount, we were told at the end that we couldn’t receive it despite the tour not going as planned. While the driver made efforts to accommodate us, our group remained dissatisfied with the overall experience.
Hello! Dear client Mateba I explained the waterfall conditions weather due to hurracane happen and is not possible to do waterfall tour on the Main lobby before leave the resort. I give you a different option tour instead waterfall swimming actually group accept to do hot springs & volcanic mud. Pumas rescue center Shelter is part of the tour you book and is open. I took group to do the Shelter pay entrance fee for 6 people and only 2 want to do it, rest of group sit on the chair and wait for us finish the activity. I negociate with You give 25% money refund if You do pumas rescue center and lunch only but i can't refund your money because you group agree to take hot springs tour instead waterfall swimming and i pay more than the cost of the waterfall tour. The private tour included pick up and drop off at our hotel in Ocotal, which was super helpful since we didn't have a car. Our guide was Wilmar - very friendly and knowledgeable. We first visited the Rescue Center, where we had plenty of time to tour at our leisure. The Center isn't a flashy tourist destination, so it's a nice place to just focus on the animals and the Center's mission. Our second stop was the beautiful waterfall, which also didn't feel like the usual tourist destination - many local families enjoying time together and playing in the water. Again, we didn't feel rushed to get in, get out and move on. Finally, we had lunch at a local cafe near Liberia on the way back - delicious! We had a nice time and recommend booking a tour with Wilmar.

Wilmer is a great guide and knowledgeable about the area. He surprised us by taking us to the waterfalls first but when we got there it made a lot of sense (less hot and crowded in the morning). Visiting Las Pumas Rescue Center and Sanctuary was a priority for me & my husband, and Wilmer was very good about giving us the time we wanted there. I have some limited mobility and I never felt rushed. Everything was at our own pace. Highly recommend hiring Wilmer for a private tour tailored to your needs.
