Le château de Barney est une forteresse médiévale située au cœur du village de Blarney. Il date du 14e siècle. Il y a plus de 20 hectares de magnifiques jardins à explorer. La célèbre pierre de Blarney se trouve ici.
Située au début de la Wild Atlantic Way, Kinsale est célèbre pour ses rues colorées, sa riche histoire et sa bonne cuisine. En quittant Kindle, nous nous frayons un chemin à travers la magnifique campagne pour arriver à Old Head, où vous ne serez pas déçu par la vue depuis les falaises. Notre prochain arrêt est le jardin du souvenir. Dédié à la mémoire du Père Michael Judge Chaplin du département des pompiers de New York et aux 343 pompiers qui ont perdu la vie le 11 septembre 2001.

This site is much larger than we realized. It does get very busy and its important to see the castle first then explore the grounds. Our tour guide Colin told us this and he couldn’t have been more accurate. We could have spent half a day here, as the gardens are gorgeous. Theres also a more modern mansion on the site but unfortunately we didn’t have time to tour that. Colin was the best tour guide of the trip. He will make your experience better as he is a lifelong resident and very outgoing and entertaining.

This was an awesome tour! Darren was very fun to be with and he did an excellent job! We knew exactly where to find him and he got us to the Blarney Castle before the large crowds arrived. He allowed plenty of time for us to kiss the Blarney Stone and tour the beautiful gardens. He drove us through the countryside to a lovely place to have lunch and see the dramatic rugged coastline! We had a wonderful day with Darren!

We were notified Michael would be our guide before we left the cruise ship. We met Michael and Darren immediately after getting off the ship. Michael had a full day planned, so he made sure to get us to Blarney Castle before it got too crowded. The rest of the day was beyond expectations. Michael was very informative and answered any questions we had. His lunch plans were a pleasant surprise. The restaurant appeared to be a local favorite which gave us a feel for life near Kinsale. We highly recommend booking a tour with Michael and Darren.

What a great day in Cobh! Our visit to Blarney was so much fun! Our tour guide, Mike, was a gem! He customized the tour according to our interests, and when we asked to visit a “locals” pub for lunch, he delivered! Mike was friendly and knowledgeable, and shared stories so that we were able to get a feel of what it’s like to live in Ireland. Truly a day we will remember for a long time! Communication with Darren was fantastic, and pickup/drop off was seamless. Great excursion!

Darren was wonderful. Took us to places that tours can't go. Took us to an incredible local pub restaurant on the ocean. Went beyond what we expected. Strongly recommend.

I’ve traveled across Europe and Darren was, by far, the best tour guide I’ve ever had! Darren took the time to get to know me and my preferences and tailor-made our day accordingly. He was so kind and generous with his knowledge about each place we visited. He took me to places I think the average tourist might not know to visit. He even made the car ride fun with his favorite Irish music. He kept reminding me to stop looking at my watch as there were not strict schedules to maintain, and to take my time to enjoy each experience. He stayed with me, as needed, but then allowed me to be on my own for touring, shopping, and dining. Darren provided the perfect Irish day for me and I highly recommend him for any tour. We didn’t know exactly what to expect having a private driver. Our original trip got cancelled so we found Darren last minute. He was great communicating with us and we loved being picked up at our hotel in Cobh. He gave us lots of helpful hints on the castle, shopping and Kinsale. Our adult girls said it was their favorite day of our whole trip!

This fully customizable experience was the highlight to our trip to Cork. We wanted to get out of the city to enjoy the rolling green hills and we surely did. Darren timed our arrival to Blarney Castle perfectly, beating the tour buses and getting us to the Stone well before the crowds. Then it was off to a beautiful area of cliffs overlooking the sea. The narrow country roads Darren took us through were perfect and not something I would want to tackle myself. Then off to lunch at a perfect table with an ocean view, thanks to Darren for the reservation. Kinsale was lovely. Darren made the whole experience enjoyable with his easy conversation and historic and cultural information.
