Description
Quittez la gare de Cobh pour un trajet en train panoramique jusqu'à Cork afin de visiter le château et les jardins de Blarney lors de cette visite de 6,5 heures. Embrassez la pierre de Blarney si vous le souhaitez, puis explorez Cork lors d'une visite de la ville, avant de retourner à Cobh. Une fois de retour à Cobh, visitez le cimetière pour en savoir plus sur les victimes du Lusitania, avant d'être ramené à votre navire.

Enregistrement à la gare Victorian Cobh à 9h50 pour le départ de votre train à 10h. Profitez d'une traversée en train depuis Cobh, le long des rives de la rivière Lee et offrant une vue sur le château de Blackrock avant d'arriver à la gare de Cork Kent. Transfert au château et aux jardins de Blarney, où vous pourrez embrasser la célèbre pierre de Blarney si vous le souhaitez. Il y aura du temps libre pour faire les magasins et déjeuner (à vos frais) au Blarney Village. Puis explorez Cork lors d’une visite de la ville, où vous découvrirez les sons et les images du célèbre marché anglais lors de votre brève visite.
Retournez à Cobh pour visiter la fabuleuse cathédrale Cobh, St Colman’s. Voir le cimetière de Cobh et les fosses communes des victimes de Lusitania, ainsi que la tombe de Jack Doyle.

This was a great way to visit Blarney Castle from Cobh without worrying about transportation or timing back to the ship. The tour starts right at the Cobh train station next to the cruise port, making it very easy to find. Staff members were friendly, organized, and did an excellent job checking everyone in and explaining what to expect before boarding. The train ride itself was comfortable and scenic. Blarney Castle and the surrounding grounds were definitely the highlight of the day. The gardens are peaceful, beautifully maintained, and really make you feel transported back in time. Climbing the narrow stone staircase to kiss the Blarney Stone was a fun experience, and we appreciated that the posted wait times along the route were very accurate. After exploring the castle and grounds, we had time to walk through the village, grab something to eat, and enjoy the area before continuing the tour. The remainder of the excursion through Cork and back to the ship was informative and relaxed. We’re glad we chose this excursion and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cobh by cruise ship.

I enjoyed myself, but it was too much time spent inside the castle. I wish I had more time to look in shops & time to sit down & eat .
Hi Printess, Thanks for your 3-star review. We allocate sufficient time at Blarney Castle for our guests to explore the grounds, gardens, shops and the castle itself at their own pace. You can spend as long as you wish at any part of Blarney, whether that be the castle or at the restaurants and shops. It was a great experience, the driver of the bus gave us a lot of time at each stop. The only bad thing was even though he gave us enough time at Blarney Castle, we didn't think it was enough to get up to the Blarney Stone and still see more of the grounds

Our tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and approachable with questions. He took his time to answer everyone’s questions. The train ride was a different twist but overall it added to the charm. Our bus driver was outstanding. I drive a large vehicle on small mountain roads so I respect how well our driver did with a large bus on these little roads. Outstanding. There’s nothing Viator can do about it but my only regret is that we have more time to explore and see the property.

Excellent excursion. The trip was informative and historical. It was nice to not worry about tickets or catching a cab
It was a great tour. It covered many interesting locations, including the Blarney Castle. It gave a great overview of Cork. Andrew, the guide, was so knowledgeable and entertaining and kind. Darrin was an amazing driver and also very kind. I would highly recommend this tour. Great value for the price.
An outstanding tour. What made it special was the tour guide, a local man who truly knows this history and has personal experience with the area. I learned a lot about Irish history and am inspired to learn more when I get home.
