An enriching experience in Tanzania for our family. It was a few hours tour only us - a family of four, the guide and local organization employee. Reuben was an excellent guide, sharing not only the entire coffee-growing and processing journey but also fascinating insights into the local culture and everyday life. Thanks to his knowledge and passion, every cup of coffee we drink back home will remind us of this special place. He has also organized for us a pick up in Arusha which made the visit more convenient. What makes this tour even more meaningful is that it supports the amazing work of The Small Things. Knowing that your visit helps fund a local orphanage and other community projects makes the experience even more rewarding. A big thank you to both Reuben and Costa for their kindness, hospitality, and genuine care throughout the visit. One tip for future visitors: bring a light jacket or sweater, as it's noticeably cooler here than in Arusha. Highly recommended if you're looking for an authentic experience that leaves you with nice memories and the feeling that there are great people around making a positive impact.

What a wonderful group of people! Lucas, Gift, and all the others gave us a wonderful tour of their village. The banana trees, Maize, Sugar Cane, peas, green beans, banana beer, banana wine, and of course the coffee plants. Lucas gave us a great explanation of every part of their farm, introduced us to everyone there, and took care to make sure young (2 years) and old (72 years) were accommodated. The tour finished up with our group separating, roasting, grinding, sifting, brewing and drinking coffee...Singing and dancing the entire time. Awesome! If you're looking for a generic factory tour, this is not for you. If you want authentic Tasmanian coffee where the guides make you feel like family, call Lucas!

Our extended family (age 2-72) enjoyed a wonderful day with Meleji House. We booked a coffee plantation tour with them and they provided so much more!! We learned so much about banana trees, sugar cane, banana beer and wine and made our own amazing coffee from seed to cup. We also met members of their Maasai village who were so friendly and welcoming! The guides, Calvin, Lucas, others, were so knowledgeable and fun and had us learning, laughing and singing! Highly recommend them for a truly amazing and authentic experience supporting the local community.

We originally came here just to do a coffee tour. What we ended up with was the chance to get to know an impressive and truly inspiring organization "the small things" The tour itself was outstanding. Reuben guided us through the entire coffee process with incredible warmth, deep knowledge, and a great sense of humor. From coffee cultivation to hands-on production – peeling the beans, roasting them, grinding them – all the way to tasting the final product, everything was explained and experienced step by step. The coffee tastes absolutely amazing, and we were even able to take some of “our own production” home with us. Beyond the coffee, we also had the opportunity to learn much more about the organization behind it all. The work they are doing is meaningful, important, and deeply impressive – supporting people, creating opportunities, and building something sustainable with great care and commitment. It left a lasting impression on us. We will definitely stay in touch and are already thinking about how we might collaborate in the future. A huge thank you to Reuben and Becca for this unexpected, beautiful, and enriching day. And one last thing not to forget: lunch was with Ugali – I love Ugali! Many thanks to the chef as well! This is a really well run coffee tour that also helps to support the fantastic work of The Small Things. Reuben was so friendly and his passion for the organisation really shines through. I was blown away by the work that they are doing but then to also have such a great time making and drinking coffee together, I couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended.

Very meaningful tour of Small Things. Extremely impressed with the work they are doing. The children were as excited to see us as we were to see them. Then moving on to the coffee tour was very informative and a lot of fun. Actually made our on coffee starting with the dried beans and ending with the freshest cup of coffee I have ever had. Ruben was an excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Small Things. I highly recommend this tour to anyone planning a trip to Arusha.

Well worth doing. Local background story. Tour of the coffee farm with explanation of local flora and fauna. Finished with interactive coffee making session - bean to cup. Good genuine charity and not over commercialised.

Walking through the lush coffee plantations, seeing how the beans are grown, harvested, and roasted was so interesting. The fresh coffee tasting at the end was absolutely perfect—rich, smooth, and full of flavor. The peaceful environment and beautiful views made the tour even more special. It's a must-visit for coffee lovers and anyone looking to enjoy nature while learning something new. Highly recommended!

A great experience getting to participate in making the coffee from start to finish, especially the grinding and roasting in the traditional ways. Reuben was a fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable and friendly. It's also great to get to this and support such a great organisation at the same time.
