Notre visite commence à Camí de la Escollera devant la cathédrale de Palma vers 9h15. Palma a été fondée en tant que camp romain sur les restes d'une colonie talaïotique. La ville a été soumise à plusieurs raids vandales lors de la chute de l'Empire romain d'Occident, puis reconquise par l'Empire bizantin, puis colonisée par les Maures (qui l'appelaient Medina Mayurqa) et, au 13ème siècle, par Jacques Ier d'Aragon.
Soller est un beau village situé à trois kilomètres du port sur la côte nord-est de Majorque et est connu comme le centre commercial et culturel de la Serra de Tramontana. Il émerge d'une vallée entourée de montagnes appelée «el valle de Los Naranjos» (la vallée des orangers) et la belle place centrale qui est le principal point de rencontre du village, est entourée de nombreuses petites rues pavées. À notre arrivée à Sóller, le centre commercial et culturel de la Sierra, nous sommes accueillis par la place principale de Sóller, idéale pour s'asseoir sur une terrasse et observer l'église de San Bartolomé et le bâtiment Banco de Sóller.
Le port de Sóller est un magnifique port naturel situé au nord-ouest de l'île et un important centre d'intérêt touristique. Un petit trésor convoité dans l'Antiquité par les corsaires qui nous offre un paysage incomparable dans lequel l'odeur de la fleur d'oranger se mêle à l'arôme de la mer. Le port et la ville de Sóller sont reliés par un ancien tramway en bois qui conserve toute son esthétique et sa décoration d'origine et que l'on peut admirer en flânant le long de la promenade animée du port.
Le 4 octobre 1913, la première ligne de tramway électrique de Majorque a été inaugurée, qui reliait Sóller à Puerto de Sóller. La construction du tramway de Sóller a commencé après l'inauguration de la ligne de chemin de fer Palma-Sóller. Le projet de cette ligne a été conçu et réalisé par Pedro Garau, et 4 868 mètres de voie ont été posés. Le pont de fer sur le Torrent Major se démarque. Au début, le tram avait une centrale électrique située dans la station Sóller qui était alimentée par un moteur à explosion de 65 chevaux qui fonctionnait avec une dynamo Siemens-Schuckert, fournissant un courant continu de 600 volts. Bien que le tramway de Sóller ait été conçu pour transporter des passagers, il était également utilisé pour transporter des marchandises jusqu'au port.

Carmen was fabulous! She called the day before to confirm our meeting point. During the tour she spoke to us in 4 languages to ensure all guests received the information about the tram, train and surrounding logistics. She kept track of all passengers on a variety of tour packages.

Excellent trip only negative didn't get any tme in Pt Soller only 20 minutes pretty rushed and not enough time in Soller, was booked for a 09.30 hotel received message changing to another pick up point 10 minutes away at 08.30 spent 4 hours on the coach doing other passengers pickup, enjoyed the tour and experience Sophie and driver very good, no time for toilet breaks,returned after experience to join the coach and toilet was closed, but on a positive note well worth the experience.

We traveled as a family with an elderly person with reduced mobility. Nothing indicated that there was no access for people with reduced mobility. I strongly advise against it for strollers and it is impossible for wheelchairs. Upon your arrival, welcome to the hanger games. Getting down to Puerto Soller is complicated, but getting back up ... An hour wait on the road, trams are reserved for groups and they pass in front of you, no line to shelter people with reduced mobility from the crowd. You have a ticket, but those who do not have one can also board and pay inside (10€ one way per person). No sign in the tramway regarding the maximum number of people or kg allowed. In short, you are crammed in like cattle for a 30-minute ride. At this rate (or even less), taxis are available.

Il est vrai qu'en pleine haute saison, Majorque, Sóller et les tramways sont très fréquentés en raison de leur immense beauté. Nice train ride, the train is "vintage" , we took the train+tram ticket to Soller , the tram is also "vintage" , it is not fast, we take the remps to see the landscapes that we do not necessarily see from the road, ... A good time.

So much travel time and very little time in Soller - given 30 minutes and 10 minutes was spent getting out of the station. Very rude guide ViVi would absolutely not recommend her

So booked with Jet2 Rep at the hotel...... Firstly the views were AMAZING however, the trip itself felt disjointed, unorganized and rushed. The trip cost was €62 per person, the coach was 30 minutes late In pick up and this was taken away from the time we were able to spend in the two village stops, 10 minutes allocation for the 1st village and 30 minutes for the second village. The rep was at times rude and abrupt. The tram and train were a nice experience for sightseeing however again not enough time allocated to explore the towns. NOT WORTH €62.

It was a wonderful tour!! Good thing I asked the tour operator for details where, when and time for pick up. Otherwise we would have missed the trip. That would be a recommendation.
