L'excursion d'une journée au volcan Poas est très complète car elle comprend le transport, les frais d'entrée, ainsi qu'un délicieux petit-déjeuner et déjeuner avant de retourner à votre hôtel. Il part généralement de la ville de San Jose et sur le chemin du volcan, vous pourrez observer beaucoup de nature et de beaux paysages, lors de la visite des plantations, vous apprendrez comment les grains de café du Costa Rica sont cultivés, où vous pourrez goûtez également le produit final avec une saveur riche. El Poás est le volcan avec l'un des plus grands cratères de toute l'Amérique centrale, ce qui en fait l'une des destinations touristiques les plus importantes du Costa Rica. Dans cet endroit, vous pouvez vous connecter avec la nature et profiter de son délicieux temps froid. Après la visite du volcan, vous continuerez vers les jardins de la cascade de La Paz, un refuge faunique Nommé pour les cinq chutes d'eau et la belle végétation qui s'épanouit dans l'endroit.

Au fur et à mesure que nous gravissons la montagne, vous remarquerez un changement de température et de végétation; vous aurez l'occasion de voir des plantations de café ainsi que des fermes de fougères, de fleurs et de fraises le long du chemin, créant une belle gamme de couleurs et de visuels. Ensuite, vous visiterez un restaurant de la région pour un délicieux petit-déjeuner.
Après la visite du café, nous continuerons vers le parc national du volcan Poas, où il y a un changement notable de température et une végétation exubérante de la forêt nuageuse. Le volcan Poás est un stratovolcan actif de 2 708 mètres (8 885 pieds). Le cratère du volcan mesure plus d'un mile de diamètre et 1050 pieds de profondeur. Il a éclaté 40 fois depuis 1828, dont avril 2017. Au volcan, vous aurez le temps de profiter de l'impressionnant cratère principal avec ses fumerolles de soufre et de faire une randonnée sur un sentier menant au magnifique lagon de Botos tout en découvrant les différents écosystèmes du parc.
Après Poás, nous continuerons vers le jardin de la cascade de La Paz, où vous pourrez déguster un déjeuner buffet (classé 4 fourchettes par le Conseil du tourisme du Costa Rica) qui comprend plusieurs sélections de plats traditionnels du Costa Rica et bien plus encore. Aux jardins de la cascade de La Paz, nous emprunterons des sentiers pédestres entourés d'une forêt tropicale luxuriante. Ici, nous apprécierons les rivières blanches qui coulent, les cascades spectaculaires, les oiseaux, les papillons, les singes et les colibris. Il y a aussi des expositions éducatives sur les animaux, telles que la volière, l'observatoire des papillons, le jardin des colibris, Serpentarium, exposition des chats de la jungle et exposition des grenouilles. C'est définitivement une visite appréciée des amoureux de la nature de tous âges.

Jose Diaz was an incredibly kind, and informative tour guide able to clearly communicate in both English and Spanish. It was an absolute pleasure experiencing the Poas volcano and the coffee plantation. He also kindly let us stop for a bit at the Starbucks location, Alsacia. The booking process was very easy as well. The Poas volcano was originally closed when we planned our trip, so when we found out it had re-opened we called around 7pm, and they were able to have the entire tour arranged within the hour for a tour the next day at 8am. We would definitely recommend this agency and would travel with them again. Pura vida!
This tour gave us a little taste of Costa Rica and was well done. Rodger was our guide and was knowledgeable and friendly and made it a really fun day. He was on time and we always knew what we were doing next.

The guides were superb. It was all good. The volcano, coffee fields, and waterfalls. Surprisingly the waterfall aspect was quite physically intensive. I am 78 years old and it was a challenge for me. And I’m an ex airborne Ranger
We had a fantastic first day visiting the 3 places... 1. DOKA - Coffee plantation along with our breakfast. 2. Poas Volcano - although it was cloudy so we didn't get the best view (that's down to weather conditions) 3. La Pas Waterfalls & Gardens - we saw some many beautiful birds and animals, you need a few hours here then finished up by see the various waterfalls. We also had lunch here. We had an early start of 7.30am and didnt get home until 6.45pm but it was certainly worth it with our excellent guide.
This is a second tine we hired Sky Solutions and as predicted it was incredible! Roger was so knowledgeable and very helpful. He picked us up in Belen and dropped us off at Playa Hermosa. We stopped a few times to show us some fun spots. He answered all our questions and told us a lot of interesting facts about Costa Rica. At the end of our stay in Costa Rica he picked us up and took us to a coffee plantation, Volcano and stopped along the way to show us more interesting places. You could tell how passionate he is about his country and proudly talked about all the cool stuff! My friends are already planning to come back and definitely use Sky again! What a great experience!
