Great day! Jonathon was very informative and personable. My wife and I had an excellent experience..
Dear Scott. I thought to wait till you were back home to write you and your wife. You are a great person, and I truly enjoyed myself touring with you both. I hope to see you again someday. Danke Sehr.
We visited Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Peggy's cove on a shore excursion from our cruise ship. In mid-October, the fall foliage was spectacular, so the coach ride was as scenic as can be. Lunenburg is an historical town, once a major port on the North American continent. Today it is less prominent, but walking through it still gives you a sense of history. Mahone Bay is a charming small town, more touristic than historical at this time. The three churches standing side by side on the waterfront give it a memorable aspect. There are a number of shops, art galleries, a pewter factory (and jewelry) to entertain the visitors. Peggy's Cove is a wonderful stop, with spectacular views, and historical lighthouse and a charming fishing port.
Thank you so much for the positive review. I wish we had enough time to explore the other places I told you.The cruise ship should give people more time to really enjoy such places as Peggys Cove, Mahone Bay, and Lunenburg. The drive from Collenwood back to Halifax was my favorite way to see the coast. Please extend our regards to Debbie and all the people on the bus. Thank you.
We were assigned a driver, not a guide. This was just a ride — not a guided experience., no commentary, and a YouTube video instead of real info. There was absolutely no historical information shared. The overview specifically states, "Your guide also provides commentary about each village's history and traditions that stretch back over 250 years." We received none of it. Totally misrepresented. To make it worse, Viator acts only as a booking agent and refuses to take full responsibility. Waste of time and money. Avoid the tour company Aberdeen & Viator/Tripadvisor.
Noted. We spoke to the tour guide and we have admonished her for using video playback on a tour. Some of the customers liked it and some not. Its hard to please everyone these days. Thnak you.

We have already responded to this review. We strive to improve and get well trained tour guides to work for us. Thank you.
If I’m writing a review for a taxi service, I would give this five stars. The driver was friendly. The vehicle was clean.. if however, I’m giving a review for a tour give it three stars. The driver spoke not great English and was not super knowledgeable about the area. He was also rather soft spoken.
So true. We almost canceled your tour due to staffing issues. However, we have used this Van driver on few occasions and people wrote something nice about him. We will ask him to improve on his language as English is not his mother tongue.Thank you.
What was marketed as a professionally guided historical tour turned out to be a completely misrepresented, substandard experience that fell far below acceptable standards. Despite the description promising a knowledgeable driver/guide, live commentary, and cultural insights, we received someone telling us nothing. We had to google all our questions. A driver, not a guide, who admitted she usually does airport transfers and had no historical knowledge of the tour route or destinations. No commentary or historical background at any stop. Missed locations listed in the itinerary (e.g., Chester and the "oldest gift shop," ). Missed turns multiple times, and the tour started late with no prior communication. We were told that the tour started late because the car needed inspection. When Viator contacted the company they said the tour was late because the ship got into port late. This is an out right lie! We actually got into port early. Driver was difficult to understand as she had an accent and lack of English. This was not a guided tour, and what was delivered was not what is advertised on your website. Do not book through TripAdvisor or Viator. TripAdvisor owns Viator. Do not book with Aberdeen Tours.
Noted. Life is a journey. Your experience might not be someone`s else experience. We always strive to improve as humans. Be blessed.
The tour company “overbooked” so send us with a man who knew next to nothing about the area. We drove for hours to get to Peggy‘s Cove. The car was so tiny that we were mashed together. We got very little information from him at all the whole day. It was the worst tour we had on our entire Canada trip. I do not recommend this company.
Noted. But the Van was made by the car company to accommodate 7 people and you only had five in the van. Thank you.
You should ask what the vehicle is they’re going to use and will you or somebody else be forced into using the third extra seat in an SUV. It is unbelievably uncomfortable.
We will never put eight people in a seven passeger SUV. That is illegal. Please get your facts correct before you post any negative review.
Our favorite stop was Peggy’s Cove. What an amazing location. We had plenty of time to walk around and explore. The lighthouse and rocky coast were spectacular. Lunenburg was just a short stop for us and we could have used a bit more time to explore. The vehicle was ok but in the third row the ladies could not see much and one seatbelt was missing. Having a private tour was nice as we got to the locations a bit before all the huge cruise ship buses.
Noted.Thank you for the review.
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. She spaced all the attractions based on our interests and allotted enough time to explore. Smooth ride.
Thank you so much for visiting us. I hope and pray that we will see you again. Be blessed with good health and peace of mind.
