Itinéraire
Après la prise en charge à l'hôtel ou à l'hébergement à Panama City, nous vous emmènerons dans une zone d'observation où nous vous expliquerons l'histoire et le fonctionnement du canal de Panama.
Après avoir vu un bateau passer les écluses, nous continuerons en voiture jusqu'à la rivière Chagres où nous descendrons ensuite de la voiture et commencerons une excursion en bateau sur le lac Gatún. À ce stade, vous serez à l'intérieur du canal de Panama en passant à côté des navires en transit d'un océan à l'autre. Au cours de cette excursion en bateau sur le lac Gatún, vous serez entouré par la forêt tropicale du parc national de Soberania, où nous observerons des singes et d'autres animaux sauvages.

Had an excellent experience on this tour. It turned out to be only me and my driver Luis so I felt like a real VIP - Luis looked after me well and I felt very safe and cared for. Learned a lot about the canal I didn't know but watching the huge ships slipping through the jungle on Gatun lake really was the highlight for me.
Our guide was full of info on Panama as well. Now we have a better idea about Panama as well as a thorough understanding of the canal. The boat trip was great as well. We fed monkeys, saw bats and a sloth. Highly recommend this tour!
Really enjoyed this tour! It was a lot to combine the Gatun Lake boat tour and a visit to the Miraflores locks, but in the end, an excellent way to learn about the Canal and appreciate the biodiversity of the area, which is incredibly impressive. Our guide, Alec, was very attentive and knowledgeable. My only critique was that he was rushing to get us from the lake to the Miraflores locks in order for us to be able to see the boats advance thru the locks and see the excellent movie (don’t miss the movie!). In doing so, he drove aggressively and it was uncomfortable at times. Other than that, Alec was great and a highly recommend this tour!
Fernando, our guide, made the trip magical! He knew exactly where to take us for the best views of the locks in action, the best time to get us to the theater for seats, and so much information on the locks. When we went on the lake he knew where to go to see all the wildlife and made sure we all had turns to get close to the monkeys for the best pictures. Best day in Panama thanks to Fernando!
Watching how smooth these huge boats glide through was amazing. The monkeys were fun to watch. Some were feisty.

We had a great time going to the Gatun Lake and Miraflores Visitor Center with Safe Transportation and Dan Taylor, who was an excellent, knowledgeable, informative and flexible guide. We especially had a blast feeding three types of monkeys on Gatun Lake with Dan’s assistance. The entire booking process with Safe Transportation was also completely smooth and efficient from start to finish and communication was the company was prompt and terrific, including when we had a last-minute itinerary change. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our tour. Ruben was our guide. He was kind and very knowledgeable. He handled everything during the tour and got us safely there and back to our hotel. The lake tour was really neat and feeding the moneys was fun. Ruben already had our admission tickets to the Canal visitor center and tickets to the IMAX which saved us time. The length of the tour seemed just right to us. We would absolutely recommend this tour. We got a good experience of the various aspects of the canal.
The canal is an amazing work of engineering. While it wasn't at the top of our list of things to do, we were glad we went. The tour was timed to ensure that we were able to see a boat crossing the locks, which makes it far more interesting. The IMAX is also well done, if not a bit US-centric. The highlight was visiting the monkeys on Gatun lake, including howlers, capuchins and tamarins, which we also were able to feed. The lake is beautiful, and getting to see the ships up close was incredible.
