You can book yourself - though need to do so 24 hours in advance, unless quiet when you may be able to "walk in". Overall Viator act as an expensive booking avenue as the "operator" is actually staff from within the site.
On the day of this tour, you’ll receive a WhatsApp (around one hour before the tour is due to begin), and around half-way down you’ll see a sneaky bit of information. You need to arrive at a different address 30 minutes before your advertised booking time. Don’t be late, they’ll go without you then be quite rude when you arrive!
Excellent visit to parliament , guide was very good. a bit of confusion about meeting place
It was totally unnecessary to use Viator service. There was no line to skip and there was no reason to meet at the office … the walk to parliament building was actually very hot and the lady who directed us to the building wanted us to wait in blazing sun! You just paid extra for the hassle when you could go directly to the building and have same guided tour buying a ticket (all tours have to be guided)
You see less than 1% of the parliament. There was a session ongoing so we didn't get to see the main chamber. This was not mentioned before hand. Make sure you go when there is a parliamentary recess or a weekend. The tour guide has a cold and dark sense of humour which went with the vibe, however the lady who gave us the wristbands was cold and unhelpful. Note that there a lot of stairs to climb incase you have issues. Overall didn't get to see much so not much value for money
Lots of margin built into your start time - meet your guid - walk to Parliament -15 min. Get to Parliament - go through security- wait after security for actual guide.
Nothing to review. Seemingly paid extra to meet someone elsewhere and she just walked us there and left us with the actual parliament guide. Just buy your tickets straight from the Palace of Parliament and save money.
Don’t waste time trying to find the entrance and figure out the tour schedule. It was worth it to have the tour arranged and we were walked through the whole process. The tour is worthwhile and the rooms and paintings are really beautiful.
A complete waste of time going through Viator. This is a trip that you could do simply on your own by going directly to the building and paying the entry fee. I paid nearly double to have a tour guide walk me to the building and then hand me over to a tour guide at the site. The building itself is impressive and worth the time, but save some money and do it yourself.
Very informative guide. We didn't realize you meet about a mile away and then walk to it with hoards of people.
