Was a great experience with an incredible tour guide! We really enjoyed our time and they really made it a super special day. Bravo!
Having own bus is great, but having a local guide that is very knowledgeable about the area and it's resources is phenomenal. Won't steer you wrong and takes care of the details to make the visit as enjoyable as possible
The perfect day in and around Olympia. My husband has walking disabilities and uses a wheelchair or mobility scooter, so he could not walk around the Olympic site, but was able to enjoy the museum, the olive farm and honey farm with his wheelchair. The tour of Olympia would have been a little easier for all in our group if we: 1. had had a personal guide or earphones. We had a book that showed us a map of the site, but none of the exhibits were numbered so it was pretty hard to figure our where we were. 2. Tour says 'wine tour', we had a few people who do not drink alcohol so they did not go on this part of the tour, but it turned out it was not a 'wine tour' it was an 'olive farm'. These people would have been able to enjoy that part of the day too if it was advertised correctly. 3. The 'honey farm' was really nice, going to a small, private family home business. They welcomed us as friends into to their home/business.
We were a party of 11 visiting Olympia for the day. Nancy was our guide and she was the absolute best! She not only was she so kind she was knowledgeable helpful and funny! She translated for one of our party when we had a bank issue. She was flexible with the schedule so we could have our perfect day. She helped us shop. She loaned my daughter her jacket when she got cold. And she so graciously listened to my mom who chatted her ear off the whole time! Our day in Olympia was amazing and we can't wait to come back. 10/10 would recommend!
Had an extremely enjoyable tour with our guide, Katherine. Sharing the Olympic site, Honey Farm and beach with my family will be remembering for a very long time. All 14 of us had a fantastic day.
Highly recommend this tour and company. We were able to skip the cruise line crowds, they were easy to find once off the ship and allowed us to experience some local cruise that was amazing.
We took 14 family members on a anniversary cruise. Our last port was Olympia. Andrew and his grandson George made it the best tour of our trip. He took us to the site of the first Olympics and museum. Then to a tasting and lunch at an olive oil farm. He went out of his way to bring us an anniversary cake! We then went to a honey farm and to the beach. My family really bonded with Andrew. I would highly recommend this tour.
We would absolutely recommend Andrew and the Katakolon Taxi to anyone looking to explore Olympia and the surrounding area. Since our booking the arrival and departure times of our cruise ship had changed, and we had a little less time than planned (which had some of the older members of our party very concerned). A 2 minute chat with Andrew and we had tweaked the itinerary for the day to get us back in plenty of time and allay any fears. Our day was in a beautiful new Mercedes mini bus and Andrew kept us informed about the areas we were travelling through as we travelled to Olympia, where he came to the ticket office to help with the purchase and arranged discounts for some of the seniors. He had us at Olympia nice and early before it was too crowded so a chance to properly explore and take some beautiful photos. After Olympia we went to the Magna Grecia olive farm for a tour of the olives and processing and some tasting followed by a beautiful lunch if local produce and their own wine. (I'd also suggest having a look at the jewellery shop there too, some lovely unique pieces). We headed back to the boat with time to spare and he dropped some of us at the start of town while talking the others back to the boat, then cam back and waited for us at the other end of the high street and whisked us back to the boat at the end. Overall a great day, great value, and Andrew was a great and considerate guide for the day.
Booked with Andrew and went out with daughter Dora. Safety first, quiet driver with interesting facts about the area. We were there with our family and supporters (8 pers.) and had booked Dora for the whole day on the road. For our grandchild was a car seat on the bus. From our cruise ship we could get right into the taxi bus. Everything was arranged punctually via email, she kept an eye on the exact time, how long we could do everything and when we had to be back on board. Our trip included a visit to Olympia, a honey farm, a monastery high in the mountains and finally a delicious lunch and dive into the sea at the St. John's Church. Andreas Beach. Highly recommended to rent a taxi from Andrew and Dora. This excursion was one of the highlights of our cruise.
Contacted in time, always accurate and available to provide information. It turned out exactly as expected. Yeah, great! Also available to modify the tour to meet all our needs. Punctual, neat, congratulations! Highly recommended! We rented the minibus for two families with children aged 6 to 15 years.
