Notre voyage nous emmène le long des bonnie bonnie banques du Loch Lomond
Le 1er arrêt de la journée aura lieu à Luss. Le village est une zone de conservation désignée située sur les rives du Loch Lomond. Il y aura du temps pour déambuler au bord du loch pour des photographies
Le château était une emprise forte du clan Campbell et nous visiterons leur siège ancestral plus tard
Le lac est le plus long lac d’eau douce d’Ecosse, avec une longueur de 25 milles. Il est réputé pour la pêche à la truite.
L’arrêt du déjeuner sera à Oban, porte des îles. Vous aurez le temps de déguster les fruits de mer les plus frais du port.
Cette jolie petite ville blanchie à la chaux était la 1ère ville planifiée d'Ecosse. Le produit fini est l'un des meilleurs exemples d'une ville nouvelle du XVIIIe siècle en Écosse. La grande majorité des propriétés situées dans le centre d'Inveraray sont considérées comme dignes d'être protégées en raison de la valeur architecturale de la ville.
Pendant que nous sommes à Inveraray, vous voudrez peut-être visiter le château de conte de fées. maison du duc d'Argyll, chef du clan Campbell. Veuillez noter que la visite de l'intérieur du château d'Inveraray ne sera pas possible d'octobre à mars.

While the Highland Experience destinations are breathtaking, what truly stands out are the guides. Our guide, JR, was excellent. He provided a perfect blend of history, humor, and personal insights. Ask your guides to articulate that tickets for Inverary Castle have to purchased there. Yes, we know you must have had a disclaimer in the pre tour info but it doesn’t take more than a second for the driver to say that before deboarding the bus! Many countries do not charge tickets for some of their landmarks including Washington, D.C. This was our first stop at a landmark in Scotland. Also, the available time in Oban was not explained well. It was rush rush when we finally got there. The seafood fast food place the driver recommended was CASH ONLY. Found out after standing in line for 15 minutes. Again, the driver could have mentioned that! He, in fact eats there.

We had a wonderful day. Rob was a great guy and took great care with us. This was a smaller group tour with a maximum of 16.

Today we had a tour booked to Oban, one word; Fantastic! Our guide Hugh was amazing! Very passionate about the things he told us and even stopped somewhere where i could see some cow’s! The tour itself was also very beautiful. We saw some loch’s, little towns and a few castles along the way. Oban itself was fantastic as-well. Would really recommend this tour. I have been on quite a few daytrip bus tours from Edinburgh in the past years, with different tour companies. I have to say this has been by far my favourite - Hugh was an amazing guide, giving us the perfect mix of funny dad jokes and interesting facts about Scotland. He also has a really good playlist (no proclaimers for once, yay!) We even had time for some extra stops and one of those stops was the highlight of the day for me. Oban is always worth a visit and a great place if you want to see something different from the classic (and much busier) Loch Ness route. Would (and probably will during my next visit to Scotland) book this tour again!

We went on this tour with the specific desire to visit Inveraray Castle Paul (the tour driver who told us his life story the whole time of the tour) reached Inveraray Castle at 4pm. Just when the castle was closing for visiting. It was very sad to take this tour and the only wish we had was to visit the only attraction we reached so late.

Chloe was a great driver and guide! Even after we waited, a half an hour in Glasgow for a group of 10 that didn’t show up! Trained in drama and a self-described history nerd! She really knew her history!
