Very interesting and thoughtful trip to see Pearl Harbor. Our guide was quite knowledgeable about the history of the Islands and Pearl Harbor. It was nice to have only one other couple in our group.
Our tour guide, Noelani, did a wonderful job. Her knowledge of the area made for an experience to remember.
Personal guided tour is - pick you up drive you around to pick up more people. When you are first to be picked up that means a long ride. Then drive around some more, point at stuff, then drive you to the memorial and kick you out to do it then pick you up when it is over and drive you back to a pick up point. I always judge stuff when it is over with, “ if I knew then what I know now would I do it again?” The answer is no. I would just buy AZ Memorial tickets and drive there myself or uber when it is time. The memorial was memorable.

Our driver and tour guide, Riley, was super friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and accommodating! This tour was perfect for our family (2 kids ages 14 & 11) - enough time to appreciate the site & monuments, but not too long to make them bored.
The ticket stated 9am. But the tour guide without informing us, made it at 8 am. Apparently a bigger group had to be back early. We are told to be ready at 7:40;am. It's supposed to be 4 hours. It was 3.

This tour did not deliver what it promised. Our family booked the Oahu: Pearl Harbor USS Arizona Memorial small group tour. Our itinerary was for a tour that started at 9am with 30 minutes at the Iolani Palace and 15 minutes at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. We were picked up at 9:30am and driven past the Iolani Palace on the way to Pearl Harbor without stopping. The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific was skipped entirely. Our tour guide was sick, coughing frequently while giving only a little bit of information. When we got to Pearl Harbor, we were limited on time. We got to see the USS Arizona Memorial but were rushed with having only a total of 20 remaining minutes to visit the 2 museums. The tour company did not take us back to our hotel. Instead, we had an Uber driver, who gave us more information about Honolulu and Pearl Harbor than our tour guide had. We were offered a 30% discount and were told that we should be grateful that they had not cancelled our tour. We paid $100 per person for this tour. In the end, we could have saved money by hiring an Uber to transport us to and from Pearl Harbor. The tickets for the USS Arizona are only $1 and are not difficult to obtain when booking the trip over 2 months in advance, as we did. In the end, we felt disappointed and like they had taken advantage of us. Our family has booked over a dozen Viator tours (including 4 on this trip alone). We have always rated them with 5 stars, except for this one. The tour company, Personalized Hawaii Vacations and Tours simply did not live up to the high quality Viator tours we have experienced in the past.

We also arranged and covered the Uber transportation back to your hotel to make sure your family returned safely and comfortably, and to help address the inconvenience experienced that day. That said, we understand that the timing, pace, and overall experience did not meet your expectations, and we sincerely apologize for that. We also regret that the 30% discount offered did not feel sufficient to resolve your concerns. Your feedback is important to us, and we will use it to continue improving our communication, timing, and guest experience.
