Shiva is a wonderful tour guide whom describes in fascinating detail the story of each temple or palace you visit. A great learning experience as well seeing great sights.

The 'guide' was actually a coordinator and he managed the entire process poorly. He only contacted me with arrangements in the late afternoon of the day before. I had made some arrangements to get to the meeting point because I had not received a reply to a WhatApp message I sent. He barraged me with messages to do it the way he had planned, but I was unwilling to spend my evening unwinding arrangements. And, it was simple. I was getting dropped off at the Mysore Palace at the place specified on your site. He then told me "the tour starts at 10 am." I said "no, it's 9 am and the rest of my day is based on this tour being done at 3 pm. I am not in a position to change." He then proceeded to lie by saying "no, it is scheduled for 10!" I then sent him a photo of my reservation. At that point, he acknowledged that it was actually 9 am but he had an additional guest who was joining us and needed to start at 10. Could I please (emoji enhanced request) accept 10 am? Frankly, I was furious. 1) he had been slow to reply initially, 2) he lied to me for his own convenience and profit, 3) your posting indicated a maximum of 4 adults on the tour. He was jamming a private client and stranger into my group and expected me to absorb the consequences. I said that wasn't my problem, 9 am start. He finally gave up. This "guide" is really a travel agent. There was no 'guide' in the car, only a driver. They were very polite and service oriented, but spoke minimal English. Initially, the only way to communicate on any question was to call the guide-- this while the driver was navigating Mysore's notorious traffic. Through happy circumstances, one of my guests was an Indian who works with me in the U.S. WIthout my party containing a Hindi speaker, the rest of the day would have been a mess. Happily, we didn't have to deal with the 'guide' any further. The driver was pleasant and attentive, although toward the end of the tour he took us to a local store where he obviously earns a commission for any purchases, not the state operated store we had directed him to. Having visited 90+ countries, I saw through that. Tiresome, but not offensive. The two actual guides at Mysore Palace and Karnataka Temple specialize in those sites. Polite and competent. Presumably the 'guide' hires them. My rating is rooted in their performance. But your actual vendor left a bad impression. One or two more episodes like that and I'll revert to other vendors.

Great way to see Mysore. We had a great guide. Shiva who was very informative and great fun too. The Mysore Palace was a must see as well as the Summer Palace. We also enjoyed visiting the temple at Chamundi Hill.

Our tour Shiva was excellent, witty and very knowledgeable. We visited several places of interest including the royal palace. A must do tour of Mysuru

Booked a tour for family and Mahesh (our guide) was on time and he shared his knowledge around the monuments in the easiest way possible. He took us for food outing at TKS which was just awesome. The whole tour was well managed and would highly recommend.

Our tour of Mysore was great! We saw everything we wanted to see and so much more we weren’t expecting! Our guide Chethan was very knowledgeable and gave great explanations of everything!

This is a tremendous way to see Mysuru. I greatly recommend using our guide, Chethan. He was superb! Our driver Darian was wonderful too!
