Had a great couple of hours, though it was as busy as expected. The architecture is amazing and definitely worth taking the time to admire. The Sistine Chapel was so crowded that it was hard to appreciate it as much as I would have liked.
Very personal service, took us straight to the entrance gate, saved us a 3 hr wait in the queue in soaring heat!!
Loved this experience!! The tour guide walked us right up to the entrance and did a great job explaining what the security would be like entering the Vatican! 2 things to know that I did not realize: - you need to pick up your tickets across the street before you head to the Vatican. So pay attention to the bottom of your Viator confirmation pdf. It has the address. - The tour company tried to reach out to me on WhatsApp the day before and I did not see their messages, which would have been helpful. That said, this was an amazing trip! My teenage boys agreed!
Easy to find location for the meeting point and a short walk from the Vatican. The representative took us straight to the line and all set. Highly recommend booking and avoiding the lines!
We met at the given location and the guide walked us directly to the skip the line queue. From there we did self guided, as advertised. He did a great job explaining the process and we got exactly as advertised!
The team that runs this was great. Very organized and efficient. A true skip the line tour, and the line was long! Highly recommend this experience
Ticketing process is a little convoluted. Pick up tickets at time on your ticket and then walk over to Vatican Museum 10-15 min later. Once inside, our tickets would not scan and required us to step out of line to wait to get reprinted versions, taking an extra 15 min to complete. Tour itself is amazing but the crowds are truly overwhelming and the walk to the Sistine Chapel is very long.
The Vatican Museum was extremely crowded with tour groups. This situation made it challenging to stop & see tapestries, paintings, liturgical vessels, & sculpture.
Dear Client, During peak season and the summer months, Rome’s most popular attractions are extremely busy, and the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel are no exception. As one of the world’s greatest artistic and historical masterpieces, they are among the most visited sites in Italy, and naturally, almost everyone visiting Rome wants to experience them. This is also why visitors without priority access are often willing to wait for hours in the sun just for the opportunity to enter and see these remarkable places. The level of crowding inside the museums is unfortunately beyond our control and is not directly related to the service we provide. Nevertheless, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Booked a skip-the-line tour for the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel and had a great experience. The guide's office was easy to find, and our guide escorted us directly to Queue 1, making the entry process straightforward and efficient. The directions were easy to follow, and there are digital maps located throughout the museums to help visitors navigate the exhibits. The Sistine Chapel visit is relatively quick, and visitors should be aware that photography is not permitted inside. Despite the brief visit, seeing Michelangelo's masterpiece in person is a memorable experience. Overall, this was well-organized way to visit the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel all while skipping the 2 hour long wait.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We truly appreciate the time you took to describe everything so clearly and in such detail. We’re delighted to hear that you had a smooth and enjoyable visit, and we hope your review will be helpful to future visitors as well.
This was just the tickets to skip the line for the entrance. You are better off getting a tourguide that comes with skip the line because the museum is huge and it takes a long time to get to the Sistine chapel and it is very easy to miss the paintings on your own.
Dear Client, When making a reservation, it is important to carefully review the product description. This experience is clearly listed as a self-guided visit, and at no point is a guided tour inside the Vatican Museums included or advertised. The service provided includes assistance from our staff and access through a much faster entry process compared to the regular public queues, which can often take several hours. Once inside, guests are free to explore at their own pace. If you were looking for a guided tour, that type of experience is a different product and must be booked separately. When booking, it is necessary to carefully review the details and services you are selecting, as this is clearly offered as a Skip the line self-guided visit. Considering that the service provided was exactly as described at the time of booking and included assistance to the entrance as well as avoiding the long public queues, we were surprised by the rating received.
