Very poor experience. No actual tour; no information about Mt Rainier National Park history, trees, wild flowers, animals, number of visitors/yr. Inadequate 1-hr time at Visitor Center after 3-hr drive without a bathroom stop.
The guide was not much of a guide, he was more of a driver. When I asked questions he wasn't sure of the answers about the park. Also the snacks provided were not the same as provided on the trip information on viator. Being picked up at our hotel was great.
A wonderful day in the national park. The stops were well chosen and there was enough time for each one. The driver, Silas, was communicative and shared a lot and patiently answered all questions. A trip that was worth it. Mount Rainier presented itself in the best weather. The tour is recommended, as is the hotel pickup service. Top.
Mehrdad was pleasant when he spoke but it was more like an overpriced uber ride. We drove home for two hours with no talking at all, his job is to make us feel comfortable. Instead it was very awkward, he was speeding most of the drive, used his personal mini van which was run down and overheated at the end. We just left and walked. I would suggest renting a car where you and your family can feel comfortable, save money and not feel stressed or pay more for a quality tours. Don’t use this company.
So Mehrdad was pleasant when he spoke but it was more like an overpaid uber ride with stops. We were never told it was a van picking a up that was personally owned, his driving was poor at best (exceeding the speed limit by more than 25mph and cutting in and out of the HOV lanes), he changed the music the entire trip without even letting songs finish, nobody spoke and he didn’t engage while in the 2.5 hour car ride and his vehicle overheated at the end. I would have paid more for an official tour in a company tour bus. Very disappointing.
This was one of the worst tours that I have been on. Our guide did not talk at all during the entire trip and shared no Information at all with us. The worst part about everything was the driving, he was driving 85 on the highway and 65 in posted 45 zones. What I walked away with from this tour was a headache and no new information. I would suggest renting a car or an uber.
Great day on the mountain. Lots of time to explore when you get to Paradise. Nice day trip with lots of time to explore

A non-stressful way to hit many of the hot spots of Mt. Rainier. This tour is family friendly and the hiking options are fantastic for the novice. Our tour guide, Silas, made the most of the inclement weather conditions so that we could spend adequate time at each stop. He also made a bonus stop along the river for exploration since the mountain didn’t show its face that day (due to dense fog). His knowledge of forestry was incredible and was able to answer all of our questions confidently.
Dear Joe, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed a non-stressful Mount Rainier experience, even with the changing weather conditions. Silas will be very happy to know that his knowledge, flexibility, and care helped make the day special for you.
