Matteo was an incredibly helpful guide throughout the entire climb. He pointed out all the sections that required extra attention and showed us the best and safest ways to make our way up. He also made the whole experience so much more fun with little pleasant surprises along the way. We felt very well taken care of and truly enjoyed every moment of the experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

An amazing experience from start to finish. The guide was supportive and motivating, everything was well organised, and there was great flexibility and responsiveness in rescheduling the climb due to changing weather conditions. Highly recommended!
Got out early at 6am. Weather was great and guides were also. The hike up isn’t strenuous on your cardio but it’s steep and you will absolutely feel it in the legs. It’s also fairly treacherous for scrambling in parts, especially on the way down. Very doable but be warned on the scrambling and footing coming back. Summit was amazing and well worth the 7 hours round trip. Our guides were great and fun and took amazing care of everyone.

We had a fantastic 24 hours with our family of 4, and our guide Matteo. Climbing Pico is no walk in the park, but with the tips and tricks of Matteo, we managed to reach the summit by the evening and warmed ourselves with the hot steam still coming out of the vulcano We slept in top material light weight tents and sleeping bags from The North Face right in the vulcano crater, the closest you will ever come to sleeping on the moon ! As a special treat we expierienced a 2.8 earthquake early in the morning, apparently not uncommon… The pictures and videos taken from top by Matteo will be framed as soon as we come back home: Yes it has its price but you get professional guidance and support, we can only recommend this experience.

Bruno is a very friendly and very competent guide. He respected the group's pace well. He knows the mountain very well and points out the more difficult and/or slippery sections to us.
