From the moment Jose picked us up we had a blast, conversation was great, he is friendly and very knowledgeable, it was like riding with one of your friends. We went to Mayan Eden Canopy and Animal Park. As we started getting ready for canopy, Jose’s camera was ready to capture every moment, he even told the canopy guides help us with videos, that we could have that to take home. Then at the animal park the guides were very nice and knowledgeable, we got to take pictures with the different animals. After the park we went for lunch to a cafe, food was very good and tasteful and our final stop was Mayak Chocolate Factory, simple YUMMY.. Roatan Five Stars works with the best, can’t wait for my next adventure with you guys. I highly recommend ROATAN FIVE STARS.
Our tour guide Daniel was great, he is very knowledgeable about the island. he took us to many off the grid sights and explained a lot about the island. make sure to book Daniel if you are staying in Roatan.
This was listed as a moderate activity. It is strenuous. You basically hike up the side of the mountain. Lots of rocks and tree roots, you must be very sure footed. Wear good shoes. Also there are no actual animal interactions. You may see a free monkey, but there are no sloths and you cannot hold any animals or pose with macaws. I dont know how people got those pictures. If it is due to animal welfare , I am all for that. But i had wanted an encounter with a sloth and there are no sloths on property at all.
Great day. We highly recommend this company. Daniel, our tour guide, was prompt, very informative on the island, its culture, and was a pure pleasure to be around. We learned a lot and throughly enjoyed our day. The eco park was amazing. The staff truly cared for the animals. We also went to the rum factory and the chocolate factory. Both places were fun and very well versed in chocolate and rum. I loved the coconut rum. A very relaxing and enjoyable day. Highly recommend this tour company , especially Daniel.
Our guide was great, attentive and made a lot of effort so we could talk despite the language barrier. The visit to the village well... the visit to the animal park was mediocre! A short visit of up to 20 minutes, no time to observe and take pictures. The park employee kept asking us to move on. We were asked to leave the butterfly cage in the middle of visits because another group was there and space was too tight.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback and for recognizing the effort of your guide. We are especially pleased to know that she made a great effort to overcome the language barrier and help you enjoy your visit — this is something we truly value in every experience we provide. We are also glad you enjoyed the visit to the village and the cultural part of the tour. Regarding the animal park, we appreciate your comments and would like to kindly clarify that we are the tour operator arranging the overall excursion, transportation, and guiding service, but the animal park itself is independently operated by its own staff and management. For this reason, the timing, visitor flow, and internal organization inside the park are handled directly by their team. That said, guest feedback is very important to us, and we will certainly share your observations with the park so they are aware of your experience, especially regarding the limited time and the way the visit was managed. Thank you again for visiting with us and for your valuable comments. We hope to welcome you again for another experience in Roatán, where we can continue showing you the best of our island. 🌊🐒🚐
We loved our tour and Kiara (doggie on the premise) was so CUTE and friendly. Every handler was informative and treated us with care
Everything was amazing! The tour guide, Remy, was great! Sloths were adorable! We will definitely use Roatán Five Star again!
Was fun experience in Honduras. Cost of zoo was $20/person. Our cab ride was $30 round trip. But additional for extra stops.
Highlight of the trip! Easy instructions for pick-up, great guide, hugged sloths, saw monkeys and macaws, Tried fried iguana!!
Joevan was our AWESOME tour guide. He was very knowledgeable of everything around. Seeing the sloths, monkeys and parrots at the Eco Park was amazing and hands on. Went to the chocolate tasting and shopped there and then to the rum cake factory for tastings of the cake and rum. Oh so good. Pics in the back off of the deck were amazing. We forgot about the famous Roatan sign and Joevan turned around took us back for our pics. He dropped us off right at the dock and even wanted a picture with us in front of the ship. Joevan from Roatan 5 Star is who you need for your guide.
