It was such a nice welcome to the city. Beatrice and Mateo were so informative and friendly. We learned some about the city and then we ate! Everything was delicious and we felt we got a better understanding of what Livorno is about. Highly recommended!
This tour is a really fun experience that includes a walking tour of Livorno and sampling of some of their iconic foods. I had a great time! Our tour guide, Elena, was wonderful! She was very friendly and knowledgeable and just a very pleasant person. If you sign up for this tour, remember to wear your comfortable walking shoes!
We a great time. Lots of information and great food. Arianna was excellent. Thanks, Gord
Our tour guide, Arianna Neri, provided us with an outstanding experience in Livorno. There were only three of us in the group, which meant the opportunity to ask lots of questions. We started the tour with a type of morning pastry, similar to a donut. It was outstanding. Next we saw some of the city highlights-the canals, a beautiful church, a fort, and an outdoor market on the way to the second largest indoor market in Europe. Here we sampled cheeses, cold cuts, breads and wine. Next we sampled a Livorno speciality called a 5 in 5, a sandwich with a fried chickpea insert along with eggplant. It was delicious! Then back to the market for a sampler of fresh fish and more wine. This tour far exceeded expectations. What made it truly special was Arianna, who was very kind, friendly, open, and professional with a lovely sense of humor. The time passed quickly. I highly recommend!
We were lucky enough to have a private tour with Ursula. She is an amazing tour guide. We got to walk a bit and hear about the history of the area and then taste so many delicious foods and wine. It was such a great experience!! So glad we chose this walking/ tasting tour.
We did this tour on the second day while on a cruise docked in Livorno overnight. Arianna was our very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide around the canal area of the city. She gave us much of the history of the city and the particular area that we toured. All very informative and at a relaxing pace. We made several stops at very local establishments to get a true taste of Livorno. First, we had a local pastry at a bakery along the way. We then made our way to Gagarin for a local treat of a Chickpea pie and a local beverage. Then on to the daily street market and the historical Central Market building for a sampling of tasty Italian meats, cheeses, breads, and red wine, all from the same shop. Next was a seafood platter comprised of anchovies, shrimp, octopus, & various examples of fish, all dressed with olive oil, lemon, red pepper flakes, etc. & another glass of wine. The friendly owner came out and chatted with us and shared some of the additional products he offered such as olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and pistachio paste. It was an amazing 3+ hours experiencing Livorno with a local guide who provided us with a memorable travel experience. Thank you, Arianna! We highly recommend this tour and tour guide! P.S. We had a restroom break!
You need to be open to trying new foods. All the foods we had were delicious!! Our guide was excellent and very informative.
rough Livorno, Italy! Our guided tour through the charming port city of Livorno was amazing with a blend of history, sea breezes, and Tuscan allure into one seamless adventure! As avid travelers seeking off-the-beaten-path vibes, we were thrilled by intimate knowledge of this underrated gem, often overshadowed by Florence and Pisa
We had a really great food tour in Livorno with Claudia! She shared her love of the city with us and made us feel like locals as we visited spots around the city. She was so gracious and accommodating, and we had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend a food tour with Claudia.
