En quittant la ville historique, profitez d'une route panoramique à travers la vallée de Salzach sur votre chemin vers le premier point fort de la journée, le château de Hohenwerfen.
Castle of Werfen est l’une des plus magnifiques fortifications de montagne des Alpes et a également été utilisé dans le film « Where Eagle’s Dare » avec Richard Burton et Clint Eastwood. C’était le château de Werfen qui était utilisé comme Nid d’Aigle, et non l’emplacement original dans les Alpes bavaroises. Émerveillez-vous devant le spectacle de rapaces des fauconniers historiques de l'État, où vous pouvez voir principalement des rapaces indigènes en vol libre!
Arrivée dans la charmante ville bavaroise de Berchtesgaden, où vous aurez le temps de vous détendre et de déguster un déjeuner traditionnel bavarois (à vos frais). Promenez-vous dans le centre historique, découvrez les commerces locaux, ou tout simplement plongez dans l'atmosphère alpine avant de poursuivre votre voyage vers l'Obersalzberg et le Nid d'Aigle.
L'Obersalzberg est l'un des endroits les plus importants historiquement dans les Alpes bavaroises, servant autrefois de quartier général secondaire clé du régime nazi. Lors de votre arrêt, votre Guide vous indiquera l’ancien site du Berghof, résidence de montagne d’Hitler, et vous expliquera l’importance historique de cette région dans son cadre alpin. Aujourd'hui, l'Obersalzberg offre un contraste saisissant entre son paysage montagneux paisible et son passé complexe.
De l'Obersalzberg, vous accéderez au Nid d'Aigle avec des bus spéciaux et un ascenseur. Vous aurez 2 heures au Nid d'Aigle. Promenez-vous au sommet très proche du Kehlstein pour admirer les pittoresques Alpes bavaroises et autrichiennes. À partir du 1er novembre, et jusqu'au 10 mai environ (selon les conditions d'enneigement de l'année), la route d'accès direct du Nid d'Aigle est fermée alternativement, nous vous proposons de visiter le sommet du Rossfeld à la place. De ce point de vue, profitez d'une vue panoramique sur les superbes Alpes autrichiennes et bavaroises et le Nid d'aigle voisin. N'hésitez pas à choisir cette option également lorsque Eagle's Nest est ouvert si vous préférez un site beaucoup moins fréquenté et plus local que Eagle's Nest.
Après huit heures passées à explorer le nid d'Aigle et le château de Hohenwerfen où le film « Quand les aigles attaquent » a été tourné, votre visite privée se terminera par un transfert à votre hôtel de Salzbourg ou à tout autre lieu à Salzbourg.

Highly, highly recommended; this lively tour by our guide made this experience unforgettable for me and my 16-year-old son! It was exciting, humorous, super informative, and lively, and with the nice dialect, very authentic and human; this is how 'living' history is sustainably remembered. While an audio guide is indeed a great help as a translation tool, the true experience can only be offered by a person who leaves an incredibly enriching memory with enthusiasm and love for every visitor! Thank goodness this memory is stored with us, and I hope that this special quality remains in the foreground in the future! Thank you, Flo, for this special memory and this truly impressive tour through this dreamlike fortress. Also, a thousand thanks for the great falconry demonstration with these beautiful animals; here too, the relaxation and respect between humans and animals were clearly palpable. It was an incredibly beautiful excursion that is absolutely worth its price, but it was also strongly shaped by the experienced guides and falconers who do top-notch work and make a very special difference compared to conventional audio guide tours or recorded audio-supported bird of prey shows! Stay so special!

Patrick made our first full day in Salzburg the BEST. This is who you want introducing you to this spectacular region: a local expert who’s down-to-earth, personable, funny, courteous and so knowledgeable. It was raining, so Patrick gave us some immediate great options — we loved that flexibility and wound up having a fascinating day seeing Salzburg highlights, beautiful German towns, WWII bunkers, the remains of Hitler’s house where so many monstrous acts were devised…. eerie but fascinating. Then to Eagle’s Nest for the can’t-miss trip inside. Patrick navigated the roads AND all our questions with ease. You can tell he loves history which makes this tour so vivid and fascinating. Great person, clear communication, excellent advice both during and after (we’ll try that Kaasknocken you recommended!) — we’ll be telling everyone we meet about Patrick. Five stars. Can we add another? SIX STARS.

100 percent worth having seen once, but also sad, useless, given events....
We had a fantastic day with Gabi as our guide. The timing of everything was perfectly coordinated. The highlight of the day was the falconry show at Werfen castle. Then on to a fabulous lunch at the Eidelweiss hotel in Berchtesgarden. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for views at Eagles Nest but we still really enjoyed seeing it, and stopping by the site of Hitlers home.
Fabulous private tour of Werfen Castle and The Eagle’s nest with a great rooftop restaurant stop en route. Our guide Patrick was informative, entertaining, personable and his English was excellent. He also came well equipped with videos and photos to provide context and enhance the experience. Highly recommend this tour.
We did a private tour of the Werfen Castle and Kehlstein( Eagles Nest). Patrick out driver and guide was excellent, knowledgeable and fun. He even pre booked a great lunch place at the Edelweiss Hotel in Berchtesgaden. He also threw in a couple of Sound of Music sites as he knew we were fans and movie fans. I would highly recommend Patrick and MCM for sight seeing trips if you do not want to drive .
