While the weather was a challenge as we arrived (wind driven rain) we met in a sheltered area outside the entrance (Foyer for Cafe Marly). Nadia, our guide found us and we quickly went inside passing the queues as we were now a “tour.” Nadia moved us adroitly through the crowded museum, walking to the highlights, and taking time to view the collections & pictures. I was intrigued by the ancient sculpture while my wife was struck by the jewels. Nadia was extremely knowledgeable about the exhibits, how different pieces were brought to the Louvre and the history of how they were discovered. Nadia also took us underground to see the excavations of the 13th century fortress upon which a portion of the Louvre is built upon as well as the changes to the palace/museum over the centuries. We have a deep appreciation for her researched knowledge she shared with us. As an older couple, this was the best way to see the museum as we likely would not have had the stamina for the standing time in the queues, or endless wandering the halls wondering if we were in the right direction for our next attraction. Highly recommend Nadia & Travel Curious.
We met up with our guide, Nadia, outside the Louvre and she got us through the lines quickly and easily. In no time she was explaining the history of the Louvre and leading us around some of the most famous works along with detailed information about the art, the artists, and the meaning behind the art. I have very little experience in art history and Nadia was informative and interesting, then gave us dining suggestions and things to do near our hotel. 5 stars!
Our tour with Polina was delightfully informative and enjoyable. We are so glad that we decided to book a private tour. It made what would have felt overwhelming into such a pleasurable experience. Polina was extremely well-informed about Louvre history and about each artwork, and she had an appreciation for the art that she was able to share with us. She navigated around crowds and took us to spots with the best views. She wove all of what we saw into a timeline and story we could grasp. Being able to hear her through headsets was terrific. I highly recommend this experience!

It’s wonderful to know that you had such a pleasurable experience. We’re so glad the private tour was enjoyable and memorable. Polina’s ability to navigate, her knowledge and storytelling really enhance the experience. We had a great tour with Nadiia. There was a long line outside the Louvre waiting to get in, but Nadia took us to a special entrance, and we were in the Louvre within minutes. She also navigated through the crowds inside and showed all the highlights in 3 hours!
Dear Shelly. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! It's fantastic to hear that you had such a great time on the tour with Nadiia. Skipping the line at the Louvre and getting inside so quickly must have been a real highlight. Nadiia's ability to navigate through the crowds and show you all the best spots in just 3 hours is impressive! If you have any photos or more stories from your time with Nadiia, we'd love to see them. Your feedback helps us make sure every traveler has an unforgettable experience with us. We booked a private tour of The Louvre for June 5th. This company cancelled our tour on May 26th saying that the Louvre was closed due to a private event that day. By that time, there were no tickets available for the Louvre with any other company. The other dates they offered did not work with our travel schedule, nor were they early in the morning, when crowds are lower. WE FOUND OUT THEY LIED and the Louvre was not closed as they told me in writing. We met another family in Paris on the day of June 5th that went to the Louvre that same day. When I replied to them in writing and asked why they told me the Louvre was closed, when in fact it was not, they did not reply. They did not reply to my voicemail either. This company sells tours before securing tickets and then lies when they cannot fulfill the tour. The sad part is that my family did not have the opportunity to see the Louvre and I have no idea if we will all be in Paris together again and have another opportunity. Dishonest!
Dear Shannon, Firstly, we'd like to apologise for this as it has been an unfortunate situation and we understand how it impacted your holidays. Your original booking was on the 5th, when the President of Italy and France were meant to visit the Louvre and we were advised it was not going to be open for the public because of this. We moved all our tours to the 7th, including your booking and the other options we offered didn't match your schedule, so we couldn't fulfil this tour for you. Later that week, the visit of the Italian President was moved to the 7th, and the museum opened on your original booking date: https://www.ansa.it/english/news/politics/2023/06/07/mattarella-visits-louvre-lunches-with-macron_32fd5181-acfd-4a1c-9233-f38eb7056cd3.html We apologise for this experience, and we will take measures to avoid this happening in the future,
I did this tour today with Nadia. She was not only knowledgeable but passionate about the art works she showed me and the history of the museum itself. In one word, amazing.
Mich was an exceptional tour guide - full of energy and information, and plenty of tips and tricks to help us navigate the Louvre with our family. He kept our children (ages 4 to 11) entertained throughout and had plenty of additional knowledge for the adults (who had visited the museum previously). Mich was generous with his time and patient with the children, while ensuring we got to see many of the highlights of the museum. You can certainly visit the Louvre without a guide and enjoy its incredible collection, but having someone as passionate and informed as Mich will certainly enhance your experience.
Michele is the best guide! He personalized the tour for our group, was very engaging, fun, and obviously knowledgeable about the building and art. The tour was just the perfect length of time. We were not impressed with the mall area of the louvre. But if you enjoy tourist tour shopping, you will enjoy that area. Thanks to Michele for a wonderful experience! Worth every cent.
This was our first time in Paris and to the Louvre, we wanted to insure that we were able to truly understand the beauty and take in a must information as we could. We booked this incredible tour through The Tour Guy, and Sophia was our guide. Sophia guided us through the Louvre and made sure we saw as many of the treasures as we could within the three hours. We went at 1:15 pm, we were told that lunch time is a good time to go. This was a must do, amazing tour. Sophia truly loves art and it comes across as she guides you through the museum and provides you with an education that is at your pace.
