This was an excellent tour with an excellent guide. We had a total of six people in the group. Hit the highlights in an efficient amount of time.
Thank you for your review. We're delighted that you enjoyed the semi-private format and felt the tour covered the Louvre's highlights efficiently. Providing an intimate and engaging experience is something we strive for, and we're glad it delivered for you.
The man who gave the tour was great. The company is MISLEADING. The only reason I paid $600+ for this tour is because it says Mona Lisa. I even emailed in advance to ask if it provided special access to the Mona Lisa and they replied yes in a way that was misleading. It turns out there was NO SPECIAL SKIP THE LINE ACCESS to the Mona Lisa. I paid $600+ to have a tour guide who walked me to the general public line of the Mona Lisa. I EMAILED IN ADVANCE and they lied. The tour guide was great. The company lied.
Hi Ronda, Thank you for your feedback. We are very glad to hear that your tour guide was great, but we are deeply sorry for the frustration and misunderstanding regarding the nature of the Mona Lisa entry access. We completely understand your disappointment, especially given the premium nature of a semi-private tour. To provide some context, the Louvre Museum strictly regulates all traffic inside the building, and no tour operator in the world has an agreement that allows guests to bypass the stanchions or skip the main viewing queue directly in front of the Mona Lisa portrait itself. Our "skip-the-line" access applies to the massive general admission queues outside the museum entrance, and our guides specialize in navigating you through the corridors to get you to the masterpiece as efficiently as possible. However, we never want our pre-tour communications to feel misleading or unclear about what to expect once inside the gallery. We have brought your comments directly to our Paris Operations Manager and our guest relations team to review our email templates and ensure our descriptions are completely transparent. We want to get this resolved for you, so please reach out to us at support@thetourguy.com so we can address your experience directly.
The tour was very informative and we went to parts of the Louvre we would not have visited without the guide. We moved around quickly and could not have seen more in the time we were there.
Thank you for your review! We’re glad you found the tour informative and enjoyed seeing parts of the Louvre you wouldn’t have discovered on your own.
Educational and efficient. Glad we went

The guide, Avi was just excellent. His knowledge of art history was amazing and he kept it light and humorous, made the whole tour very enjoyable as well as informative.

Avi was a truly fantastic guide. Honestly, one of the best guided tours I’ve done in any country.
Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that Avi made such a strong impression and that this was one of the best guided tours you've experienced. We'll be sure to share your kind words with him.

Victor was an absolutely amazing tour guide. I typically dislike museums and find them boring but he made it super interesting. He was so knowledgeable and shared so many cool facts along with the history of pieces.
Dear Lauren, Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that Victor made the Louvre engaging and enjoyable for you. Helping guests discover the museum in a fun and accessible way is exactly what we strive for. Warm regards,
Our tour guide was amazing! Lots of great information and had a lot of "inside" knowledge. It wasn't that busy, so seeing the Mona Lisa and other works of art was not crowded and extremely smooth. We walked through in about 2.5 hours. Could stay longer, but it was a great tour.
Dear Brian, Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your Louvre tour and that your guide helped make the experience both informative and memorable. It's wonderful that you were able to enjoy the museum highlights, including the Mona Lisa, without the usual crowds. We hope to welcome you on another tour soon! Warm regards,
My wife and I enjoyed the semi-private tour with Fateh very much! He helped us nagvigate the huge museum and huge crowds very efficiently, and we were able to see all of the major pieces (except the Crown Jewels which are still closed). We were able to take some extra photos along the way to be able to look back, and we had free time after the tour to continue to explore the Louvre.
Dear Matthew, It is wonderful to hear that you and your wife had such an efficient experience with Fateh! Navigating the Louvre's massive collection is much easier with a pro leading the way, and we are glad you hit all the major highlights. While the Crown Jewels remain a hidden treasure for now, we would love to have you back once they are available for viewing!
