Itinéraire
Le plus grand lac de Centro-Amérique, le lac Nicaragua ou bien connu comme le seul lac avec des requins d'eau douce, est à seulement 10 minutes en voiture du centre de Grenade. Une fois dans le petit port, nous prenons un bateau à moteur (capacité de 18 personnes avec des gilets de sauvetage) et nous faisons le tour des petits îlots où nous montrerons tous leurs secrets comme la grande vie des oiseaux, forteresse espagnole avec deux étages où nous avons une vue imprenable sur le lac, la ville de Grenade et le volcan Mombacho. Découvrez comment les habitants des îlots gagnent leur vie au quotidien. La nature est magnifique avec beaucoup d'oiseaux et une vue imprenable sur les volcans et le lac Nicaragua. Ces îles sereines et rustiques que nous visiterons en bateau, vous montrant tous ses secrets !

Our tour guide Israel was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable and was very friendly and kind. He went out of his way to make our tour fun and educational. The boat driver Felix was also super knowledgeable and made sure to help us see all the birds and animals! Would recommend whole heartedly to anyone looking for a unique and fantastic experience!

Our guide Oscar was absolutely fabulous! (I am bad with names, so sorry if I misremembered!) This might just be the best guided tour I've ever had. Originally we were scheduled to take the 10 am tour, but I was worried about cutting it close on transportation. After talking to him, we moved our time to the 3 pm slot. This was definitely the right move, since our bus was *four hours late* into town. Good call, Oscar! I have a background in ecology, so I was very interested in the plants and animals in the area. I asked him a ton of questions about different plants and animals, and he knew all of them, explained the natural history, and pointed out some amazing things (the bats under the tree branch was my absolute favorite). We saw ospreys, vultures, jacanas, howler monkeys, anis, and--this is one of my favorites--Montezuma Oropendolas! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It was the best thing we did in all of Nicaragua!
