C'est le plus grand lac d'eau douce d'Arménie et l'un des plus grands lacs d'altitude au monde.
Le monastère se compose de deux églises, Surp Arakelots (Saints Apôtres) et Surp Astvatsatsin (Sainte Mère de Dieu), construites avec de la pierre volcanique sombre. L'église est assise sur une colline, elle offre une vue panoramique sur le lac Sevan et les montagnes environnantes.
Le quartier dispose de balcons en bois, de maisons en pierre, de toits en tuiles rouges et de rues pavées, reflétant le riche patrimoine de la ville
Niché dans les forêts de Dilijan, le monastère est entouré de collines verdoyantes, ce qui en fait une retraite paisible. Construite entre le Xe et le XIIIe siècle, elle est un important centre religieux et culturel.

Arsen was my tour guide and he was fantastic - great communication and very good knowledge. Was able to help me out with everything and gave very good recommendations. Would definitely recommend him and Tatev tours.
The tour was very convenient to schedule and the itinerary was flexible. The guide was friendly and gave us glimpse of the history of the places we went to and we stopped in between for photos in the beautiful mountain roads. The monastery in Sevan lake had 200 stairs but we have the flexibility to go up or not. Even below the monastery there are souvenir shops, fruit shop, bakeries and restaurant so you can opt to stay down and visit these stores. Overall it was lovely experience the road trip to all the places itself is really good.
