I had a great trip with the guide Veronica. So exciting and nice way to get to know the city that can be a little vague and overwhelming. Many exciting and useful information about the places we visited. Got an extra exciting introduction to the "Witch Market". We also took several tours by cable car which gave us an impressive view of La Paz and El Alto. Can really be recommended and thanks to Veronica!
Carolina was a wonderful guide. Excellent English. She provided native perspectives and insight, especially in Witches Street. Besides that wonderful explanation, the tour included four legs on the aerial cable car that Lima has been using for the last 15 years for mass transit. Fun ride great view of the city.
This walking tour was a fantastic way to get to know La Paz. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared a lot of interesting context about the city’s history, culture, and daily life. The group size was small, which made it easy to ask questions and stay engaged throughout the tour. The highlight was definitely taking the cable cars up to El Alto — the views over La Paz are incredible and give you a completely different perspective of the city. The visit to El Alto felt authentic and informative, not rushed at all. Overall, it was a well-organized, insightful experience and a great introduction to both La Paz and El Alto. Highly recommended, especially if it’s your first time in the city.
Great walking tour. Kelly the guide was friendly and shared good information with us. It was a small group. We went on a Sunday evening, I'd recommend going in the morning tour as a lot of the flea market shops and other street shops were closing in the evening tour. I think the morning tour will be more bustling and active. Finally, this is nothing to do with the guide or the tour company, but one of the other tourists in this tour, just kept talking to the guide random, irrelevant things. This took up a lot of her time as she listened to him politely. I felt that it took away time from important info that she could have shared with us. It was a constant blabber from this other guy, nothing related to the tour or Bolivia, but just about anything in the world. So, if you are reading this review, I hope we can be mindful of using up a guide's time with general talk that is not relevant to the tour!
Carolina provided us with an excellent 3 hour trip with the right balance of walking and talking, good insights in some aspects of Bolivian society and marvellous views from the cable car on La Paz. Fully recommended.
Highly recommend this walking tour. Our guide is very passionate about his city and very knowledgeable of the local history. The view from the cable cars are amazing!
We were picked up on time by our guide, Abraham, and our private citytour in La Paz started. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and nice. Our tour was very vell planned and Abraham told us lots of relevant and interesting things about buildings, neighborhoods and events but he never talked too much about irrelevant details. He did a terrific job! Our tour was modified because we wanted to see the cemetary and another church, and Abraham was very well prepared to those additions to the tour. At the end of our tour he helped us buy the right tickets and choosing the right line in the teleferico.
Luis did a great job. He knew a lot, is very nice and could tell interesting stories. What more could you want. It was good that I booked the tour
Excellent guide with knowledge of the architecture and history of the country. Punctuality and care with the traveler. Anyway it was very good
Luiz did a great job talking through the history of Bolivia and La Paz. Particularly enjoyed walking through the streets and riding the cable cars.
