My day with David had so many different experiences. He provided a succinct overview of the history, politics, and beauty La Paz and Bolivia. From the strange beauty of the Valle de la Luna, the superb views of the city from the cable cars, and the richness of city life, he covered it all. He also was very flexible- as I had already seen the Mercado de las Brujas we switched it up for a visit to the Cementerio General. Highly recommend!
THANK YOU KAREN It was one of the most important experiences in my work as a guide, sharing a few hours with an artist and her spirit. Beautiful memories. All the best in your life, Karen. David
He was such a wonderful guide. I had a lot of knowledge about Bolivia and I was able to learn about its history. The view from the cable car, where you can see Bolivian life, was breathtaking. We also enjoyed delicious food and shopping.
Hi Emi Thank you for your comment. I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit to La Paz. I also want to thank you for visiting my country. I hope everything is going well for you Saludos! David
We had a bit of custom tour this day with David, for my request. First we used the cable car system of La Paz, and traveled thru the yellow and green line. It was marvellous to travel with this unique, very well engineered transportation method, well 'above the mountains'. Meanwhile, David told stories and shared some special info on the country. Still the other passengers (while possibly going to work via the same, shared cabin), listened! Then we went to the Titicaca lake, but before looked at some murals and remembered, visited some sites to see, how the city was formed by the landslides and the government reaction. Then we had a delicious lunch on the floating restaurant of the Titicaca lake - restaurant Sol Andes. I don't really eat seafood, but now it was a lucky exception, since the fresh fish just 'came out' from the lake. Not long after we visited the famous Esteban family. They told stories, showed pictures about their contribution to Dr. Heyerdahl, while building a boat (Kon Tiki). They showed then some handmade souveniers, which are nice and not overpriced. The final stop was Pariti island and its few residents. The island is more than peaceful, and the museum is a must visit there, just as the old, for now (unfortunately) mostly abandoned buildings. The route to there was superb too, we were taken there on a boat, by Mr. Esteban. All of all, it was a big adventure, so not a surprise that all of us just fell asleep back to the hotel, except our skilled driver.
Hi Mark We're glad you enjoyed the personalized tour we prepared for you. Thank you very much for your visit to my country and for your comments. We wish you all the best in life. David
David is a superb tour guide. He is a highly experienced tour guide with more than 20 years of experience in the tourism industry. He also speaks perfect English. We have learned a lot about the history, politics, culture, and society of La Paz and Bolivia from him during the tour. He also encourages us to ask him questions about La Paz and Bolivia, and we could feel his deep enthusiasm in introducing his country to foreigners. The tour involved a mix of walking and traveling by cable car/private vehicle. The flow of and the stops we visited during the tour fully show that David has planned the itinerary carefully to ensure that his customers could travel comfortably. This tour might be a bit more expensive than the other options on Viator but the premium is definitely worth it. It is a private tour with a veteran of the tourism industry of Bolivia.
This tour was amazing! A great overview of La Paz with an outstanding tour guide: David! In the tour, we have the opportunity to visit the highlights of the city, such as "Valle de la Luna", "Telefericos", the city center, el famoso "Mercado de las Brujas" and some museums! David was a great guide, with him I could learn more about La Paz and Bolivia as well! I highly recommend this tour to everyone who is in La Paz. It is sure a a whole day of adventure and of learning about Bolivian Culture!
We recently visited LaPaz in Bolivia as part of a family tour of South America. I booked a private guide ( David Paco ) to take us to the main attractions in La Paz. David is a great tour guide who provided a full day tour, visiting the main Parliament square, the Bolivian Museum, the KiliKili View point, The Valle De La Luna and a ride on the cable cars that traverse the city. As we don’t speak Spanish, I wanted someone that could take care of the tour for me. David speaks great English and always took the time to talk about the political history of the country as well as the struggles of the indigenous people. We finished the day at the Witches Market and I can honestly say the day exceeded my expectations. la Paz is a fascinating city. If your thinking of visiting La Paz, I would highly recommend David as a tour guide.
Thank you very much Denmead, Phil and family for your review, also for me was a great experience to work for you, and wish all the best for all of you Hugs !! David
