La cascade de La Leona est située dans la petite ville de Curubandé, à 20 minutes de Liberia dans la province de Guanacaste. La Leona est une cascade d'un bleu profond unique enracinée entre deux canyons. C'est l'un des rares, sinon le seul, au Costa Rica avec cette caractéristique. Son eau provient de la "rivière blanche" ou "Rio Blanco" qui prend sa source dans les jupes du volcan Rincon de la Vieja. La couleur de l'eau est juste incroyable, entre le bleu et le turquoise, ce qui s'explique par la présence de soufre. C'est définitivement un must dans ce domaine ! We loved this experience! Our guide, Sebas was outstanding in his knowledge. The dipping in the pool, crossing rivers, swimming near the waterfall was so fun. We saw monkeys close up which was an added bonus! It was a great nature adventure!
We took a private tour of La Leona Water falls on Aug 1st and it was an amazing experience. The staff were awesome especially our tour guide- Allem who was very cool and friendly. The hike route was clean and well maintained and the waterfalls were breathtaking
Dylan was a fantastic guide! He went along at our pace and helped us enjoy every part of the canyon.
Amazing experience and cannot miss...The tour guide Brandy also made it very good... Starting from hike to crossing river, swimming and then getting to the waterfall..mind blowing...Highly recommend..

Hi There, our company doesn't have any guides by the name of David. Also, on July 20th our company cancelled all tours due to the water level being too high. Please re verify which company you used for the tour since it was not us, and there are different companies that run La Leona Waterfall
Great experience, one of the best excursions we’ve ever done. We were impressed after the first waterfall, the second really was just unbelievable. Tour guide was awesome, provided great information on Costa Rica, the area, and many sights on the tour. You do need a decent level of fitness to do it because some areas can be a challenge if not, but well worth it.
Amazing experience. Joshua was knowledgeable and very friendly. I would highly recommend. Costa Rica has breathtaking views and La Leona waterfall did not disappoint.
Just want to say the private trip we had with Olman “Cholo” was incredible. He was way cool, considerate, knowledgeable, safe and went above and beyond showing and educating us about what we were seeing and how to see them. He was great helping my partner navigate the tough spots on the trail. He was the best! A pleasure and a privilege to have met him and be guided on the hike.
This was a fantastic day! Ronny was amazing and made sure my children were safe and got to experience everything! We booked a private tour which was great for our family. I highly recommend this tour. We did the waterfall hike and tubing. They had a guide assigned to each person during tubing for safety. It made me feel at ease. The highlight of our trip so far.
Recommend to wear sneakers. You will be jumping in water and walking through the river but it’s a rocky terrain. Our tour guide John was amazing he was very knowledgeable and funny. He was very engaging with my kids and participated in the water activities. Ask for him if you can.
