We really enjoyed this tour. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the meeting point description after we disembarked this ship was wrong. It took us half an hour to figure out how to meet with the tour guide. It didn’t mention on the description that we need to take a shuttle bus first. We thought the tour guide would be meeting us right outside the ship.
Cancelled the day before by the operator with a request that I should cancel with Viator. This could have resulted in automatically loosing everything paid for late cancellation. No effort by Viator to find an alternative.
The experience was cancelled several hours before it was due to start due to lack of interest. With a cruise boat of 6000 passengers arriving I find this difficult to understand. No alternative could be arranged so late so missed out on the experience!
We should have booked directly with the local tour company. We kept getting conflicting email information. At 7:30 we received information that the time was 11:00 and pick was at the disembarkation of our cruise ship. We received 2 additional emails wit a time of 10:00 am and pick up at the international cruise port, which was a mile away. In the end we missed our tour which was to be the highlight of our trip. I have booked many cruises with aviator with no problems, but this one was a mess!
Good Morning, We are sorry for any confusion, the tour was operated by our partners in Le Corunna, and they had amended start time to 11am. I will raise this with our Operations team
Booked agent never showed up. Another company had our booking but different start time so we had to ask other agents who were touting for business (quite off-putting). We apparently had been allocated seats but never knew it, which delayed departure as they were looking for 2 missing couples. Our guide (Mercedes) saved the day She was very knowledgeable, exceptionally helpful but there was not enough time. Expect big crowds & long lines to visit the church which we found rather dark. There's not much to see on the drive but plenty to see in Santiago. Maps were provided but were not in English. This is a feature we encountered in Spain - making map reading difficult.
Hi Arthur I apologies for the. I will investigate this with our Operations Team to avoid future instances of this. confusion over the meeting process. I am pleased that you enjkoyted tyeh trip, and we will also look at extending the time Kind regards
No provision made for customers to shift to an alternative vendor when your vendor canceled the tour. We were left high and dry. Almost ruined our day. Viator should have stepped in and provided an alternative
We emailed you to advise of the cancellation, and to review other options on Viator. Unfortuantely we were unable to secure a replacement guide for this service.
good value for the money and the young lady that took us was verry good and knew a lote about every stop
Many thanks, I will pass on your comments to our local team.
We enjoyed our tour very much today, thanks to our excellent guide Christina. She has made a difference with her vast historical knowledge of La Coruna and Santiago de Compostela. She is a gem! Stephen & Elayne
Many thanks for your very kind words which I will pass on to Cristina
Our tour guide Adrian was good and pleasant. The group was pretty large but he did a great job keeping us together and explaining important details! He was very informative and patient. Seafood is a big thing in La Coruña especially squid....however there were huge crabs, and blue lobsters 🦞 in a couple of restaurants! Also, carry toilet paper the restrooms are poorly stocked.
excellent observations! I will pass on your kind words to Adrian! Many thanks,
