Maria was a fantastic guide. Perfect English and encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of the trip I would recommend
Learned about the pilgrimage to this site. Good that we entered through the museum to the cathedral.
Great tour very well explained Free time in Santiago
Every communication from this company states that they will meet you at the gangway of the ship and they ask you to be there 10 minutes early. A Coruna is a busy industrial port where they provide shuttles to the port gate as they do not want you to be roaming around so when we exited the ship early we faced a barrage of questions as to why we were stood around as you had to go to the port gate or board a ship organised excursion. We managed to hang around for 10 minutes but as the magic orange umbrella was not to be seen and security were on our backs and no one was answering the contact number provided we went to the port gate. 10 minutes later and several unanswered calls my email burst into life telling me we should be at the gangway. I asked them to phone me to clarify the situation but that did not happen. We took the shuttle back and there was the aforementioned umbrella accompanied by the ever prickly Cristina. It was now 20 minutes past the departure time and we were told there were still multiple passengers missing. When I enquired if we would be back on time for a 16:30 sailing Cristina started arguing with me telling me the ship left at 17:30 and I was wrong which I wasn't. She promised we would be back on time! So we eventually left 45 minutes late when the missing group turned up with port security taking the blame for the coach being late but it was our fault as we had left the ship! The tour was OK at best and we were late back to the ship. Cristina only knows one adjective and that is "super" It is used in every sentence and so you do tend to switch off. The group that were originally super late continued to be late all day as the women were shopping so we all had to wait. During the day I gave some feedback to We Galicia who organised the tour and they went along with the narrative that none of this was their fault. The sad thing about this is had we been called/emailed when the coach was late then none of this would have happened but that would mean accepting responsibility which will never happen!
Our guide and driver picked us up promptly, so easy to find them at A Coruna. Our guide was fun, interesting and very knowledgeable about the history of the Camino and Santiago de Compostela. We were able to spend time in the magnificent church and had time afterwards to shop and have a nice lunch in the area surrounding the church. It was a perfect day.
It was our first time with Viator and we are pleased with the service. Carolina, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, sweet, and helpful. That made our trip to Santiago de Compostela a memorable trip.
Initially, there was some confusion regarding meeting location. Our tour guide (Cristina) was a wealth of knowledge throughout the entire tour, and was very friendly. Cristina kept our group together when needed, but also provided ample free time to explore on our own. This tour was well worth the money and was very memorable.
Good tour/day. Directions to the bus were good, met right outside the ship. Excellent, interactive tour guide full of information. About 1 ride to the cathedral. It is in an old city with many winding streets full of cafes and shops. We had learned about the history and importance of the cathedral, and met some pilgrams in the square. There was then some time to explore the old town, we chose to have late breakfast at a wonderful hole-in-the wall cafe. Back to meet up with the guide for an excellent tour of the cathedral and a very pleasant day back to the port. This was a relaxing, informative tour that we really enjoyed.
An amazingly informative and well orchestrated tour. The driver David was very competent and the tour guide Carolina was exceptional in her monitoring, her administration of the tour, and her knowledge.
This tour was outstanding! Carolina was very informative and interjected humor into her stories to keep in entertained and engaged. Would highly recommend!
