It is an extraordinary and fantastic tour. We did the tour with Juanjo, who did a fabulous job communicating from beginning to end. On the day of the tour, I was a bit nervous about my car sickness/vertigo, and he made stops and put me at ease. He was also more than willing to put up with an onery three-year-old, and he even held his hand and walked him along when he didn't want to be around Mom and Dad anymore. He suggested a fantastic eating spot and told us stories along the way, from castles to pilgrims on their walks. I wish we could do it all over again. He also took some photo's along the way, a few of which I've uploaded here. You certainly won't regret it!
The choice of sights was great. Carmela knew the area and was informative and 2 great places to enjoy local food. We had a great day even tho the weather was miserable
Fantastic trip, we were very lucky because it was a wonderful day so that immensity of sea where the sky is the limit opens the spirit, the soul and fills us with pleasure. A beautiful lighthouse, very well maintained with a small restaurant with an excellent almond cake
I booked a guided tour from Santiago de Compostela. "A costa da morte" would be a wonderful landscape if it had not been washed away with thousands of windmills that shatter the landscape. I think you have to be very careful about choosing where we locate clean energy sources. It's not a receipt that you destroy nature like that. That said, the excursion was great: Waterfall of Ézaro, Muxía, Finisterre... The scenery and gastronomy are spectacular. Highly recommended especially if you do not want to drive.
All this week my partner and I have traveled the Costa da Morte from Malpica to Fisterra staying in different towns. Not as pilgrims, but as tourists. As expected on any trip, we have had everything: very good, good and very bad... I don’t want to extend much (although I could) and I will refer only to four sites. At Muxia we stayed at the Bela hotel. When I booked I didn't know it was also hostel...say that the building is peculiar but surprising.a succession of terraces with different levels. Surprise at the novelty. The minimalist room to the maximum but clean. I have to say it compensates with the receptionist's treatment which is excellent. Pure attention and kindness. The next day we wanted to have breakfast at the inn Prestige...buffff...an unpresentable. We forgot to put our mask on when we entered and when we were already at the table he treated us like we were stink. He was absolutely right, of course, that you can say things differently too. It didn't help if we could forgive him, no. He went on and on... at a good distance he asked us what we wanted and since we have more education than him , we ordered a coffee and went to another for breakfast. In Fisterra we stayed in Mar de Ardora. A haven of peace and quiet. The girl who's in reception a charm. Friendly, attentive and professional. The room with sea views and very cozy and the enclave in the middle of nature unbeatable. No doubt to repeat. My last words are for the restaurant O Pirata. The best of the whole trip. Seafood and spectacular fish...local and fresh product of the day. But the attention of Fran(owner) and his waiter (it's sad not knowing his name) was what you hardly find anymore. The concern that everything was okay was unbeatable not to mention sincerity and advice. Fran, we'll be back. The detail you had with us without knowing anything (remember who we are for the bread of Germán....hahaha...of Asturias....) is not forgotten. Anyway, a golden brooch. I want to make a little mention of the bakery Germán: Great everything we bought.
Very good visit, interesting comments from the guide, suitable stops, not long with 10 hours from A Coruña. Very good for 45 € person, and you can choose where to eat in Finisterre (worth the recommendation: restaurant Alara, also the guide, very good). It is a great way to get to know the coast with explanations.
