My friend and I had a couple of hours to kill and were in the area of the Nishiki Market. We came across this museum and decided to give it a try. Our tour guide was Mami. Her English was fantastic and her knowledge of samurai culture was very thorough. We had a great time.
Mami was an AMAZING tour guide! You get to throw shurikens and the winner of the throwing contest gets a shuriken!

Very interesting visit with a very nice and dynamic guide Yuki (meaning Snow in Japonese - we will remember). She shared the history and cool details about Samouraïs and Ninja, showing us some weapons, explaining the purposes of some details of Swords and armors. At the end of the tour, she made us practice the Ninja Stars (plastic- don’t worry). When it was finished, we could spend more time in the museum to see and read more… We also find a small gift shop at the exit. It takes 1h if you don’t stay after. Very nice to do when too hot or too rainy outside :)
