We had a wonderful visit to Nijo Castle this morning with our guide, Naoya. He was extremely knowledgeable and made the history of the castle, the shoguns and the different rooms of the Ninomaru Palace truly come alive. His explanations added so much to the experience and helped us notice and understand details we would certainly have missed on our own. Naoya was also very friendly, engaging and happy to answer all our questions. We highly recommend taking a guided tour of Nijo Castle.
