Situé à seulement cinq minutes du centre-ville, Saiin est l'endroit où commence la vie nocturne authentique. Nous visitons trois lieux préférés des habitants : un magasin de gyoza nostalgique niché dans un bâtiment traditionnel en bois, un bar raffiné pour le saké local et des plats de saison, et un endroit animé proposant une large gamme de spiritueux Japonais, y compris de la bière artisanale et du whisky de tout le pays. Sans panneaux clinquants ni pièges à touristes, vous pouvez simplement profiter de plats délicieux et de conversations réelles. Saiin est un quartier local de Kyoto où la vie quotidienne façonne la culture alimentaire de la région. Avec très peu de touristes autour, il offre une chance rare de découvrir la ville d'un point de vue local et de se connecter avec la communauté. La visite commence dans un restaurant traditionnel machiya, où vous dégusterez du gyoza fraîchement préparé dans un cadre chaleureux et nostalgique qui reflète le côté terre-à-terre de Kyoto. Au deuxième arrêt, vous découvrirez une sélection de bières artisanales, de saké et de whisky de tout le Japon, associés à des plats élaborés à partir d'ingrédients régionaux de saison. La soirée se termine dans un petit bar de quartier apprécié connu pour son propriétaire sympathique et son atmosphère détendue. Des places sont réservées pour la visite, vous permettant de vous détendre avec des cocktails savamment conçus et de profiter d'une part confortable de la vie nocturne de Kyoto que la plupart des visiteurs ne connaissent jamais. Tout au long de la visite, l'accent est mis sur les expériences locales authentiques - restauration quotidienne, culture de quartier et lieux cachés au-delà du chemin touristique typique.

My wife and I had the pleasure of being guided by Sota Ito on a visit to local eateries in Kyoto. We visited three sites over a leisurely three hours enjoying authentic local cuisine and drink, and conversation with our guide. There were locals at each destination, and no destination was crowded or overly noisy. We appreciated the thought that went into destination selection. Kudos to Sota for a professionally conducted tour.
This was the best tours I have done. Ken (Kantaro) was knowledgeable and very engaging. We had a great time learning and trying new things. The conversation flowed, a bit like the sake. It was like going out to dinner and bars with a good mate…but better. I look forward to next time. Thank you!

I came to Kyoto hoping to visit a calm place with few tourists, and I joined this tour. In this tour, the guide took us to several shops that local Kyoto residents actually frequent. It was a highly valuable experience. We were taken to shops we would never have found on our own, and we even got to talk with local people, which created a wonderful memory.
This was a delightful tour and a chance to try the local Izakaya cuisine. Our guide Masa led us through the alleys of Kyoto to Little hidden gems we would never have found on our own. The food was excellent and included drinks such as local beer and sake as well as soft drinks all included. Highly recommend!

I booked this tour last minute and was grateful to be accommodated. It was just myself, and Amy, the guide on the tour and I had an a fantastic time. Amy was an amazing host and also gave me lots of tips about Japan. We went to three different bars and restaurants where we tried a variety of dishes and drinks. The tour was fairly casual in that we ordered what we felt like eating and drinking and paid for it as we went. We went to places i never would have found myself, let alone been able to order at as the menus were in Japanese. It was SO refreshing to be taken off the too-well-beaten tourist trail and visit some authentic local places with local prices in Kyoto. This tour was incredibly good value. I recommend it to anyone looking to get away from Kyoto crowds and tourist area
