Keelung Shore Excursion: visite privée des lanternes célestes de Jiufen et Shifen

Jenifer was seriously so so amazing she was so knowledgeable and her English was Incredible !! So glad we got to do this tour with her ! She went out of her way for us !

We had a wonderful day tour to Shifen and Jiufen with Jennifer. Jennifer was extremely friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the entire trip. She shared detailed explanations about the history, culture, and local stories behind each destination, which made the journey much more meaningful and enjoyable. What impressed us the most was her patience and care for our family. I was traveling with two senior family members aged 92 and 64, and Jennifer was very considerate of their pace and comfort. She adjusted the itinerary flexibly, ensured they were comfortable at every stop, and provided helpful recommendations along the way. She also recommended local food, scenic photo spots, and hidden gems that we would not have discovered on our own. Her English was excellent, communication was smooth, and she made us feel welcome from the moment she picked us up. Thanks to Jennifer, our visit to Shifen and Jiufen became one of the highlights of our Taiwan trip. Highly recommended for families, especially those traveling with seniors. We would definitely choose Jennifer again on our next visit to Taiwan. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5

Great experience right from booking. Very responsive, meticulous in planning and accommodating of our requests. We had a friendly English speaking guide Jennifer who took very good care of our family and ensured we all had a great and comfortable experience. Great explanations, helpful in recommendations and always keeping an eye out for our young child. Highly recommended!

High into the hills of Taiwan. Whilst a bit of walking we didn't find it too onerous and we are in our late 70's. Our wonderful guide Howard devised a route which was faily flat as there are lots of uneven paths and many stairs Went to jifen Water fall which was lovely and had a sky lantern experience in the middle of a train track just before the train came. Great fun

Bad tour Tour guide Andy came in a vehicle with all the windows covered in black screen net so we couldn’t see out of the windows. The purpose of a tour is to SEE, and we couldn’t see a thing! Crazy, to compound that he didn’t talk at all while driving didn’t give any details about the city or our surroundings as we were passing through nothing, there were times we didn’t even know where we were going. He didn’t even introduce himself when he met us just pointed to his car. I texted the tour company and asked if this is a tour or a taxi cab ride. Told them no narrative or tour info about are drive and what we’re passing by was being given and the windows were covered so we couldn’t even see anything. They responded because of the weather he couldn’t talk while driving (it was a light drizzle). No response to window coverings. When we got to the spots on the itinerary he did talk a little which is when we discovered he could barely English. So asking questions about the area and such were next to impossible. It was a terrible private tour, we would have gotten more out of just going with the cruise tour at least we could see out the window and the tour guide talked. This was not a tour, it was a taxi cab ride. Had we known that we could have booked our own taxicab for much cheaper. Then at the end, Andy the driver had the nerve to ask us to give him 5 stars! It was laughable and very disappointing- coming to Asia is a once in a lifetime experience for us, what a let down. We saw all the high ratings for this tour and thought we were getting the best it was the complete opposite. Do not use this company.

I had a wonderful time on this tour with An. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We visited two beautiful waterfalls and two Old Streets. We also stopped by the Yin Yang sea which had some interesting old abandoned mining buildings across the street. It was fun walking through the old streets of Shifen and Jiufen where I got to try lots of local foods and snacks. I highly recommend this tour and An as your guide if possible.

We got to our meeting point well on time, but our guide wasn’t there. We WA’d him, no reply. We contacted the office, who said he was in the meeting hall; he wasn’t. Then they said he was waiting outside; he wasn’t. More than half an hour later he came running into the hall. A bad start to the tour. We got whisked off along the coast to our first stop. It became obvious that Lyle couldn’t speak much English, so we sat in silence, with no commentary or info about our destinations. After the 1st stop, when we’re tried to leave for the next destination, our car wouldn’t start. There we sat for 25mins while Lyle cursed and swore trying to get us moving. Eventually the car started. We proceeded to the other destinations which all went as planned. Lyle was a friendly bloke and did his best for us, given the communication gap. But this trip was sold as a guided tour, that’s what we paid for and what we got was a silent taxi ride.

Alex was our tour guide and he was a great guide. What a nice relaxing way to tour Taiwan without any pressure. Highly recommend.

A wonderful day. We loved it and would recommend it 100 percent. Our guide was so nice an friendly. The group was very small. A real privat tour.

It was a wet and dreary day, not ideal for seeing the best anywhere. Despite this Paul worked very hard to show us interesting places and make the most of our day in Taiwan with some genuine highlights. He was knowledgeable and considerate and was an excellent driver on some difficult roads. He took good care of us, got us back to the ship bang on time then sent us some lovely photos! Thank you Paul 😊
