Throughly enjoyed tasting so many dishes, things I would have not chosen myself. Katie was an excellent guide, not only explaining each dish but also gave me insight regarding the history of Kanazawa.

We really enjoyed this food tour. We ended up being the only customers booked that evening, but our guides Misa and Tomo were great company. We liked the walk through the samurai district and enjoyed the three food stops. We requested no raw fish and they were able to accommodate this for us. We tried some new things we otherwise wouldn't have tried and it was an overall excellent evening out.

Katie is a friendly and honest Japanese woman guide who speaks English. I was impressed to learn more about Japanese food and culture. When choosing this tour, it is recommended to eat breakfast and lunch simply. Because you can eat delicious Japanese food in the evening^^
Local options we'd never have come across. Great food and the sake bar ending was so fun! Solid way to experience Kanazawa at night time.
I can’t recommend this enough! Such an amazing introduction to Kanazawa food, drinks, and history. I strongly recommend this for anyone visiting Kanazawa for the first time (or 2nd, 3rd,etc). Our tour guide was friendly, encouraging, and insightful. We left knowing we wouldn’t have had the local Kanazawa experience without this tour. My partner and I were guided by Katie, whose knowledge of the history and culture of Kanazawa was incredible. We truly felt like we got to see a side of the area that we might not have normally explored and learned so much. The included food stops had such a great range of authentic Japanese food and we had a really fun time swapping stories with Katie and sharing in different foods along the way. We finished the night at a sake bar which felt hidden away and as sake lovers, it was the perfect end to the night! The Foodie Tour was a perfect way to experience small business contributions to the Kanazawa community. Katie was a very knowledgeable guide and made the night even more special. The first restaurant we visited had delicious small gourmet dishes that were mouthwatering. The brewery was small, lively and with great pub fare! Lastly the 8 seat Sake bar, with matcha sweets, and Sake sommelier was amazing! This tour with the help of our excellent guide could be your best experience in Kanazawa.
