I’ve been on several catamarans and this was the worst. Check-in was mayhem, the drinks were awful, most of the boat staff were dry and rude (especially the young bartender). The beach club was worn and tired along with the food. Wouldn’t recommend.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly regret to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience during check-in, as well as for the quality of the drinks, the condition of the beach club, and the service you received from our staff. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide, and your comments are being taken very seriously. Please rest assured that we will address these concerns with our team to improve both our service standards and overall guest experience. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, as it helps us identify areas where we need to improve. We would appreciate the opportunity to make things right. If you are open to it, please feel free to contact us directly so we can follow up on your case. Thank you again for your honest feedback. Kind regards,
My husband and I are pretty well traveled, and this was the worst excursion we have ever been on in over 30 years of travel. The catamaran was overcrowded, by a lot! They offer open bar on board but the drinks are awful. There is some swill they pass off as beer, and a pathetic something they identify as rum punch. The snorkeling was pathetic, and we didn't learn until after the fact that if you are over 60 you are not allowed to snorkel in Mexico, but from the comments from the others who did snorkel you saw a couple of fish, big whoop. They next take you to your first stop on Isla Mujeres which is nothing but a funnel into a marketplace where the vultures swarm you. You have an hour to kill there which was absolutely excruciating. You then re-board the catamaran where they ferry you to the other side of the island for what was supposed to be the lunch buffet. The food is a day away from being garbage, and the private swimming beach was like swimming in a cesspool. Honestly if you have to come to Cancun, and I mean if you must, stay at your resort and enjoy the pool. Otherwise there's nothing here except a decimated washed up tourism experience. This is our 10th time to Mexico, our first return in over 10 years, and it will be our very last.
Dear guest, We are truly sorry to read that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify some of the points you mentioned. The catamaran you boarded has a certified capacity of 150 passengers, and on the day of your tour, the occupancy was below 70%, so we are confident that the boat was not overcrowded. Regarding the snorkeling activity, it is indeed a short experience focused on giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the Caribbean Sea and visit part of the underwater museum. We understand it may not meet everyone’s expectations, but it is designed as a light and safe activity for all participants. As for the marketplace stop, Isla Mujeres is a local community where most residents make their living from tourism and commerce. Visitors are, of course, free to decide whether to make purchases or simply enjoy the island at their own pace. Finally, the beach conditions can sometimes be affected by natural seaweed (sargassum), a phenomenon that impacts most of the Caribbean coastline due to ocean currents and seasonal changes. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control, though we always do our best to minimize its impact. We appreciate your feedback and will take your comments into account to continue improving our service. Pancho and the crew on the boat were great! They kept the drinks coming and tried to make sure everyone had a good time. The lunch was not great and the time on the island was chaotic. So many people and everyone wanted to charge you for everything! I wish we had more time snorkeling but it was rushed and so many other boats around. We would do the trip again though because of the great time on the boat!
I decided to take this tour based on a friend’s recommendation, and without a doubt, it was an excellent suggestion. The experience with my family was great. For my children, overall, everything was very good. I truly appreciate the agency’s service.
I would like to share my experience during this trip to Isla Mujeres. When I arrived at the company responsible for the arrangements, I spoke with the team members in charge of the boat. They informed me that there was no available space for me, as the boat could not accommodate all the participants. I was quite surprised by this. I explained that I had booked my spot two days in advance, and they asked me to wait while they looked for a solution. This situation upset me, and I made it clear that I would not leave until a solution was found. After some time, another person from the same company approached me and assured me that I would be able to join the trip. However, by then, I was already feeling hurt and disappointed. The way I had been treated left me frustrated, and I no longer felt excited about going anywhere—especially after spending two days looking forward to this experience. In the end, we boarded a boat, and while the trip itself was calm, I couldn’t enjoy it. The embarrassment I felt in front of so many people overshadowed the whole experience and left me with a sense of regret. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it helps the company recognize the importance of treating participants with respect and ensuring a smoother and more organized experience. I truly believe that with better communication and greater attention to detail, future experiences can be more positive and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Dear customer, we are deeply sorry for what happened, as well as the attitude and behavior of our staff. This is very important to us, as we will review our processes and ensure this situation does not happen again. We have located the staff who handled this situation, and they have left our organization.
We took the catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres from Cancun and overall, it was a good experience. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the trip. The snorkeling part was a bit short, but the spot was nice and the gear was in good shape. Lunch on the island was decent nothing fancy, but enough to enjoy the break. The vibe on the boat was relaxed, with music and an open bar, which made the ride back more fun. All in all, a nice option if you're looking to spend a different kind of day while in Cancun.
I really enjoyed this catamaran because they gave me every kind of drink I asked for. Honestly, I wanted to get drunk, and I achieved my goal! The island is small but beautiful. I loved the snorkeling we did and going to Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres—it’s amazing to swim there, and there was no sargassum at all.
From the moment we stepped onto the catamaran in Cancún, the service was outstanding. The crew welcomed us with warm smiles and refreshing drinks, always attentive to every detail. Throughout the trip, they made us feel comfortable and well taken care of—explaining the itinerary clearly, helping with snorkeling gear, and serving snacks and cocktails with genuine friendliness. Without a doubt, their professionalism and hospitality made the experience even more special. An unforgettable ride, thanks to top-notch service!
Loved the music on the boat and the drinks never stopped coming Such a fun day The snorkeling was my favorite part of the tour so many colorful fish and corals We spent some time relaxing at the beach club with hammocks and great food Highly recommend this trip
From the moment we arrived at the marina everything was perfectly organized We spent the afternoon soaking up the sun at the beach club and swimming in the turquoise water This tour is a must do
