Great introductory tour of the heart of the city. We very much enjoyed our guide's local expertise and tips on how to navigate the city. It was a great first tour for my son's first trip to the city.

Area was experiencing severe thunder and lightning storms (in fact the airport, and I’ll public transportation have been stopped due to the weather ) Subway was closed and traffic was at a standstill, so no way to get to the site for the start of the tour. Reached out to the tour guide who informed me that even though the weather was bad, there was no way to cancel and get a refund. Doubt I’ll be using this booking service again.

Willem went above and beyond! We arrived late into Amsterdam, after our tour was supposed to start, due to flight delays. We notified Viator who notified our tour guide, Willem. Willem graciously agreed to meet us the following day at a time convenient to both of us; his tour did not disappoint. Willem tailored our tour to areas we were interested in seeing all the while filling us in with details and interesting facts about Amsterdam. We loved the tour and appreciate Willem’s flexibility in rescheduling our tour. We highly recommend this tour and we highly recommend Willem!
Just off the train, we got to know Amsterdam with the help of Phil, who was a fantastic guide for us. Phil is a double threat — incredibly knowledgeable about the city, and also a fantastic photographer and a great teacher of his craft. In 90 minutes we got a good sense of the center of the city for further exploration, and some incredible tips for smartphone photography that we put to use throughout our stay (and beyond!). We could not have asked for a better start to our time in A’dam than Phil gave us. We traveled as a family with two teenagers who can be tough customers, but they immediately took to Phil just like we did and kept referring back to things he said for days after. Highly recommend Phil and the concept of a kickstart tour like this one as a way to get your visit off on the right track. Cheers Phil!
Our tourguide Anna was so knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information while also taking us to some places off the beaten path, giving us the opportunity to see things we otherwise would never have run across. She also gave us some great recommendations of other activities and places we could visit. This is my second time booking a tour through this company and both times have been education and unique. A private tour like this is a great way to get your own custom introduction to the city and to find a wide range of places you might want to return to during your visit.
The tour with Phil was really great, even though it rained! We learned some stuff about Amsterdam and also some easy tricks to get nice pictures of the city.
